Hi,
there is a bug in G4L when handling corrected coordinates of a cache that has been corrected twice. To reproduce:
- open a mystery cache on PC and correct its coordinates
- download "nearest" geocaches using G4L
- observe mystery cache was downloaded as well, with corrected coordinates
- open the mystery cache on PC again and set different corrected coordinates
- download "nearest" geocaches using G4L into same folder of points, answer "Overwrite" to dialog
- observe that in Locus, the mystery cache is still located at the old corrected coordinates, but it should have been overwritten by most recent coordinates

Thank you very much for your response, Arcao. Yes, the programmers at Groundspeak are acting like... (you know what). I do programming for a living too and cannot understand this step back, it looks like a serious bug in their system. It's bad there is no workaround. :( And of course, their marketing is trying to sell it as a "feature" (like the "starts with" search on geocache name recently).
Btw. Czech language is OK for me, I am Slovak :)

Hi again,
I can't seem to find whether this has been already discussed but... since some Locus or G4L version (don't know which one, sorry...) it started to show geocache logs in wrong order if the geocache was found by more users on the same day. Simply said, order of logs is totally different than on GC.com listing page. Is this a known issue?

Hi,

when starting Locus Pro 3.11.0 I get the error message "Probleme mit der Internetverbindung" when there is no internet connection pressent. After that message Locus seems to work normaly.

c.s.g.

The same here in Locus Pro 3.11.2.
I get this as well. Did reinstallation resolve it for anyone?

@Mek: did you tried latest 3.8.2? It should be solved!
I just updated from 3.8.0 to 3.8.2 and it indeed is solved, thanks!

Hi,
there is an issue with opening of geocaches that contain images in their listing. Let me explain:
- Download some geocaches via G4L or import from GPX, as you wish...
- Make sure internet connection is disabled (wi/fi/mobile data)
- Open a geocache with images in listing in Locus and observe repeating error notifiaction "Problem with internet connection" - it seems to be displayed many times in a row, depending on how many images are there in cache listing
- Switch to Logs tab, and observe the same while scrolling to logs with attached images
This problem is annoying because the notification overlays the keyboard and you cannot see what you type when it is displayed. It only happens like since 2 months ago. Previously, if there was no internet connection, images were just not displayed and that was all. Can the old behavior be returned (and this problem fixed), please? Or, even better, display some placeholder like a red X, or a button to load the image on demand (so only that image is downloaded when user enables internet connection in the meantime without closing the cache - and if internet is unavailable at that moment as well, then error notification may be displayed).
menion, any thoughts on this?

The coordinates in "Nearest" dialog are working correctly in newest versions, thanks for the fix! :)

see video:
coords from (last)satfix are N48°57 / E8°56
now i move map to N49°08 / E8°53
start GC4L and disable sat search
furthermore coords from satfix are used and it´s only possible to change coords by hand.
I expect automatic changed coords if map is moved, or a button "use mapcenter"
Yes, this is really tiresome and it worked in previous versions. Can you please fix this issue?

Thanks - I forgot to mention that I had this checkbox unchecked (well, it was the first thing I looked for to resolve this issue - to look in the settings).

After updating both Locus and G4L addon last week, I noticed that after opening a geocache I get a toast notification "Problem with internet connection!" and it repeats quite a few times, randomly disappears and so on...
This happened while geocaching in Austria - with GPS and track recording on, all the caches were imported from a GPX file created in GSAK. The "old" caches I already had in locus database, which I downloaded via G4L, do not exhibit this behavior. But I cannot reproduce it now, I also already deleted all the Austrian caches yesterday. Any idea why there is this toast notification after opening a cache? (note: I have Locus set to open the cache immediately and not show the intermediate little info box about cache).

The problem I reported here can no longer be reproduced with this version, it's been probably already fixed. Thanks :)

I downloaded a few caches using GC4Locus. Among those there was one with special characters in name, which (I presume) cause Locus to crash when trying to open this cache - via map or via cache list, does not matter. It's GC5DAWZ and the problem can be reliably reproduced. :)

@Mek: and when you open Locus again over home (list of apps) > Locus?
That was the flow which did not work. But I tried now again and it works. Maybe it's been already fixed :)
Happy new year to you too.
