Quote from: Jan Čapek on May 17, 2023, 16:32:59@Žajdlík Josef Hi, you mean search input always floating on top of the map or something different? Thank you for your kind words!

It often happens that I need to find more things and repeat the search. I design the option in the search panel option: "View temporary search panel". The screen would add a floating panel for searching and an icon to hide the panel. See pictures.

Hi Menione, the new search is great. Very good work. This is the best change in the last year. Personally, I would add the option to view the search directly on the map, but it's not that important. Thanks.

Locus Map / Re: [APP] - version 4.12.+ ( 09/2022 )
November 16, 2022, 08:18:35
Quote from: Andrew Heard on November 16, 2022, 04:43:014.12.2.4: The new movement sensing/ auto-pause evidently (sometimes) isn't working for me - see screen cap of map where phone was perfectly stationary for 70 minutes with GPS still enabled.

During this 70 minutes it can be seen the GPS accuracy (from LM web planner) jumped from ~3m to ~40m accuracy, as expected in bottom of a multistorey concrete building.

I found that AutoPause only activated if the phone has a good GPS signal. If the recording is still jumping, Autopause does not succeed even when the phone lies on the table.

The autopause test during four hours of hiking turned out excellent. No unexpected lines.

you probably find only 0.01% of users use Presets, so far bigger fish to fry; maybe there are analytics behind the scenes to justify development in certain areas

Andrew Why do you think so? I think Locus Presets needs. Without them I can not even imagine using locus.
@Žajdlík Josef - LM4 5M+ downloads, LM3 probably even more, but just a few regular beta users in this forum. I agree with you Presets are a great power-user feature but it would be interesting to see how many out of 10M+ Locus users are aware of & use this feature. I'm just trying to say with limited developer resources there are possibly more important areas to develop that would give more bang-for-your-buck for more users.

In this review of 6 best navigation apps for bicycle touring https://wobblyride.com/2022/03/29/best-navigation-apps-for-bicycle-touring/ sadly IMHO Locus is not mentioned. I have experimented with all other 6 apps (long time ago) and settled on LM as the best. I would suggest every LM user who reads the review, adds a comment to promote LM and provide wider exposure.

All cyclists and tourists I know want a simple application of free Mapy.cz do not want to think about the settings and options that Locus applications offer. I think that the Locus team knows it and does not compete directly with them. Mapy.cz or Google have big teams of people.
I agree with Menion that the presets will have to be modified, but it takes more discussion on this topic.

Co jednoduchý přepínač na bod/trasa? Viz scr.

It worked for me too, but when I selected one Dashboard from the menu, the settings of all Presets changed to this dashboard. And it can't be changed anymore. Even the recovery from the backup did not help.

It's alright. But if I understand it correctly, there is part of the data in the Lopoints of OSM and part of the Wiki. Therefore, for each item I would like a button with a direct link to change directly in the database OSM or in Wiki. It's definitely very complicated, but if it succeeded, it would be great. I am afraid that an ordinary user will not want to install other editing applications, so there will be not many lopoint repairs.

I was thinking about editing. Perhaps it would be enough to add a small button with a direct link to editing text via the eight or Wiki website. Depending on where the text is taken from.

Hi Radime.
I understand what the problem is, because I often add and correct the data in eight OSM maps. But if I understand it correctly, then the data for lopoints come from two sources. It is quite difficult to find where to fix the data.

Overnight, the photos were loaded with points with labels, that's fine.
Some points are quite bad, see SCR.
Now: Generála Laudona. Adresa: Most úzkokolejky přes Moravu... (The bridge is about 100 meters away and deserves a separate point.)
Correctly: Socha generála Laudona, Zámecký park...

The possibility of changing texts is probably needed.

Web portal & sync / Re: Web planner / portal
March 31, 2022, 13:15:38

After updating to version 4.8.0, the entire menu shifted almost a third of the screen height. Android 8, Samsung A3. The route scheduler is fine, it's just on the main screen with the map. Any idea what about it?
