Erster Schritt: Suche in den Einstellungen nach dem Höhenmanager und vergleiche.
Falls Du hier Unterschiede findest und diese angleichst, musst Du im Track die Höhen nochmal aktualisieren. Findet man im Kontextmenü nach Antippen des Tracks. Bin nicht 100% sicher bei LM3.
Sollte ein Gerät auf lokale Höhen-Dateien zugreifen.. : diese könnten unterschiedlich sein.
Auf LM4 gibt es im Track noch die Eigenschaft "Altitude threshold", die wirkt sich auch auf die Hm aus.

And I fully agree re. wasted space, i.e. the thumbnails should be larger.

PS: while display on the map is really cool, viewing a series of photos is painful.

Swipe brings up the question which one to display next, not trivial if you think about it. For sure solvable, but as of now my impression is Menion doesn't see the problem yet, I guess he doesn't use it.

Btw, Michael, I asked twice for a better preview in LM4 in the bottom pane, but nobody understood or supported me. I am convinced the thumbnail size is bad, not useful, the preview should use the screen width. Information will move down then, but my argument is, in the context of image viewing the picture itself is of biggest interest, not data like address or altitude.

You don't miss a trick. The feature is not very developed probably because many users don't use it. For me it's existential, re-visiting same places...

@Menion, are there any plans for improving the Lopoint system? You know the ux is a bit cumbersome (like, add 100, 200... via swipe down... category sets...) you wrote there will be a major rewrite at some point.

Wow I noticed, Geotagged Photos, the ones turned on via Map Content Panel, (I have 1000s) are displayed on the map much faster. Like 10x as fast. Is it my device or has there been a change?

Locus war schon immer Grütze was POI angeht. Wenn ich nen POI suche, nehme ich Osmand.

Es ist nicht gerade eine Stärke von Locus, ja. Menion hat da immer mal Änderungen angekündigt, aber Zeit ist endlich.

Zooming out via quickly tapping minus button (say, from ZL 16 to 10) is dangerous. Sporadically CTD.  It also happens after rheme switch, then map move. Crashes a bit too often.

Stichwort "wo bin ich gewesen" - Ich bin irgendwann auch dazu übergegangen, alle gelaufenen Aufzeichnungen gleich nachzuzeichnen, für saubere und ressourcenschonende Tracks, die ich dann bei Bedarf auf der Karte darstelle. Ich bin meist im Sauerland unterwegs. Für die jüngeren unter Euch: das ist ein ehemaliges Waldgebiet mit Hügeln. Seufz.

Geo, I ask for the technical specs of recorded vs. planned mainly because of imported 3rd party tracks. Some are planned ones, some have been recorded. Sometimes attributes have been removed etc.

I'm not into the search too much, but "nearest tracks" now lists track independent from their distance it seems.

What does "recorded" mean for Locus? Tracks with some insignificant number of trackpoints? no/1970 timestamps? Would be great if you could tell the algo.

Er hat sich also explizit darüber beklagt, dass er getrackt wird, wenn er den Standort dauerhaft zulässt.
Meines Wissens ist der Standort Zugriff alleine betrachtet aber kein Tracking.

Ja, den Leuten steht es ja frei, jeder App den Netzwerkzugriff zu kappen. . Ich weiß nur nicht, wie sich LM dann bzgl. der Lizenz verhält.

Datenverkehr kann man mit PCAPDroid untersuchen.

"Last known location is outdated" - the orange message - should only be shown once per session. Furthermore, in the use case we talked about, this position often is At Home and totally fine.
