Es tut mir leid zu hören, dass Sie Probleme mit der Synchronisation haben. Es sieht so aus, als ob das, was passiert ist, ein typisches Szenario ist, wenn Daten auf einem Gerät gelöscht und dann synchronisiert werden. Unser Synchronisationsalgorithmus arbeitet nach dem Prinzip "letzte Aktualisierung gewinnt". Das bedeutet, wenn Sie Daten aus einem Backup wiederherstellen, werden diese gelöscht, weil der Löschzeitpunkt auf dem Server neuer ist als der Zeitpunkt Ihrer Wiederherstellung.

Der einfachste Weg, das Problem zu beheben, wäre, ein Ticket in unserem Helpdesk zu erstellen (https://help.locusmap.eu/ticket/add) und darum zu bitten, alle Daten in der Cloud zu löschen. Dann können Sie Ihre Daten lokal wiederherstellen und erneut mit der Cloud synchronisieren.

Thanks for nice explanation. I am answering in English so others know what this is about.

Described problem: Imported track from GPX file can be without elevation data. It would be useful to have some mechanism to load (optionally?) missing elevation data for selected track during import. Currently only possibility to do it is to:

• Load track to planner - does not work properly because track is recalculated
• Open track in Locus map app and fill elevation data there which is not convenient

Solution: I am adding this on our list ... but I am afraid that it will take some time :/ because we need to bring elevation service into the cloud environment.

@lor74cas, @Andrew Heard thank's a lot for the clarification. Now I totally understand and believe I have a good news for you. I am just working on extension of elevation chart. After that you should have distance / time toggle for x axis.

Hello there. I am really happy to announce that after several months we have finally managed to reach our next big milestone. I have just deployed to the production:

• Points integrated into MyLibrary
• Multi-content support - place several tracks on the map or display several point groups
• Added icons into MyLibrary items
• Added state remembering when switching between Planning and MyLibrary tab

1) Higher resolution elevation data - yes, I know :-). We would be really happy to do this but it is a little bit bigger challenge than it seems to be. Although it looks we are still postponing this and it will never happen I still believe we could do this within one year.

1) Joint venture - Never say never ... but we have, I would say, our unique vision of web planner. Although it is still basic in the most areas we have really huge list of improvements. This would be really hard to do in the partnership .

1) Can't get your location - oh, this is very strange. Debugging geolocation API is quiet challenging but I will try to have a second look on it . Thanks for reporting

We plan to implement this "POI category search" in the search. E.g. you type "shelt" and "Shelter" category will be offered in result for you. When you click it closest N results will be highlighted in the map. This is almost implemented in our API waiting for me to implement it in the web planner. Unfortunately, I have a lot of work with bringing points and multi-content alive. So, please, give us some time

Creating account from Web planner is not possible right now. We plan to add it but it is not the priority for us ... so not ETA here.

Yes, this should be improved. But, we will probably only load elevation for waypoints .... so no elevation profile between will be calculated (difference from the app). Will this be big issue for you? This manual routing is meant as "fallback" solution when you can not use standard routing.

Yes, we know, this is kind of tradeoff. Web planner is not intended only for planning but also for exploring. When you are in exploring mode, you do not want accidentally click into map and start routing. We plan to add separate tab for the browsing later so it will be obvious if you are in planning (plan tab) or exploring  (explore tab).

Expanding and collapsing waypoints - is it still happening? I can not reproduce it (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)

New features in web planner
I am listing all the features added after LM4 lunch (April, beginning of May).

• Elevation statistics in the planner tab
• Altitude formatter - using only ft/m
• Saved track detail - added elevation chart
• Remove waypoint from the map - using context menu (right click)
• Modify planned route by drag&drop everywhere on the segment (previously only possible by red handle placed in the middle of the segment)
• Show / hide waypoints in order to prevent moving statistics out of the screen
• Recalculate all segments
• And several bug fixes and minor improvements

And we are working hard to bring you another set of new features soon. Thank you for your trust and support!

2) Profile icon - thanks for the clarification. I added this on my list
3) Srtm files - I am receiving elevation data from the routing server and I don't know what is used internally for the calculation. I have asked @Radim V so probably he can give you more accurate answer
4) Different elevation gain stats - there must be somehting really wrong. I have tried it to reproduce and I was not able to see more than 1 meter difference (rounding issue between browser and backend). Could you share particular example of track where this is happening? Thanks a lot

2) No preview - web planner is generating thumbnail only when saving planned route to your library. Preview image is synced from your device and used on the web. If preview is missing, it is missing and "No preview" is displayed

1) Difference between online and offlien LoMaps - Ideally it should be the same map but there are a little different  source data that are used for rendering so some differences will be there. 2) Holes in the map - known issue which was already reported to the provider of source data. We are waiting for the solution. Until then we can, unfortunately, do nothing about it :/

1) Elevation chart missing for saved tracks - yes, it is not a bug. This was not implemented, yet. This is one of my top priorities tasks so it should be available soon .

1) Start location - if you give browser permission to use your location then start location should be near you. Anyway we are thinking about improvement here (I - saving your last location to browser memory and using when you reload browser or II - automatically figuring out approximate location based on IP address).
2) Search - We had some issues there. Please, try now, it should work (finding "Edmonton"). But keep in mind that search gives preference  to results near your current location. So if you are searching "Edmonton" from Europe then you will need to write almost whole name to have it in results ..
3) Usage of webfonts - yes, that's true. I see it as a standard practice. Don't you have problem also on other webs?
4) Displaying geocaches in the overlay - I am almost sure that "using" Groundspeak data won't be possible. But I guess your use case is to see your points on the map (e.g. imported geocaches). This is planned feature and should come in next few months.

1) Waypoint remove (X) button needs confirmation - I am not sure here. IMO it is not so easy to remove waypoint accidentally and confirmation dialog could be really annoying
2) Changing profiles - yes, this is definitely missing feature and I am really sorry that it was not part of V1. I plan to add it really soon and it will most probably work as onclick on routing profile icon.

1) Synchronization of userdefined folders/groups - this is absolutely something we should consider. Right now it is not on the readmap but I agree that it makes absolutely sense to support this. I am creating ticket for it
2) Hiding top navigation bar - again great idea! I am not sure about auto-hiding it but I get your point. I am also creating ticket for it
3) Deleting waypoint from the map - and again great suggestion. I didn't realize that planning with collapsed sidebar could happen a lot (you miss calculated stats, ...). I will create ticket for it but I am not sure that clicking on waypoint should trigger delete. I would rather add "Delete" as contextual action. What do you think?

1) Switching profiles no triggering recalculation - yes, this is intended behavior. You can mix routing profiles during planning of one route

Please, be aware that I can not promise any ETA for suggested improvements right now. We have a lot of items in our backlog and we will proceed according to priorities which are changing constantly.

2) List of reported issues/features that are planned - yes, I will try to do it ... but I am little bit lazy in this kind of work. So hopefully, till the end of this week
3) Pricing - this is the decision made by team and several calculations. I am not the one that should explain it ... but we tried to keep prices as low as we could to be certain that we are able to pay our monthly expenses. So, it is very tricky to compare prices only with respect to functionality ... and ignoring the cost of infra.

@gps2003 Subscriribing to "Gold services" - Oh, we are really sorry. According to our plan there should have been available pre-release version in Beta channel with working subscription since Friday ... but unfortunately we are having difficulties pass Google Play validation process. Hopefully, it will be released soon. Right now there is no way how to subscribe, sorry fro the inconvenience.
