Hallo,

Hi,

I want to use the Dashboard to display Battery Voltage and aktual Current of an EBike.
In the Bluetooth manager there is a Speed & Cadence Sensor defined.

So my Question is how to fake a Speed & Cadence Sensor using an  Atmel ATTiny + a Bluetooth4 Serial Module.
Does anyone know the protokoll such a sensor is using (probably serial??) and the sequences that have to be provided?

Locus automatically decide which map renderer use by version of map.

Perfect  :)
The Theme in the link is for plain Mapsforge V4 w/o any special Locus elements.

There are Mapsforge pois available from OAM too - so if you want to test those with the plain V4 renderer:
http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/misc/openstreetmap/openandromaps/pois/
The mapname.poi.zip are the right ones

Hi Menion

These are really good news.

Theme with priority support: http://www.openandromaps.org/wp-content/users/tobias/Elevate3_SVG.zip
With this Theme you can test scaling of SVG's too - if you want  ;)

V4 multilingual map: http://www.openandromaps.org/mapsV4/asia/israel_syria_ml.map
This is the only V4 maps so far on OpenAndroMaps
However, I can make any map you need for testing, just tell me which map you want to have.

Hi Menion,

I just tested the Multilanguage feature on Mapsforge with Atlas - this is really great.
Especially for maps covering Russia + Asian/Arab Countrys.
The map I tested was the one of Israel / Syria. Switching between english, arabic, hebrew is perfect fine.

The disadvantage is that these Maps have a different file-format than the V3 maps.
If you could find a way to implement this feature this would add lots of value.

Hello Petr,

Thanks for detailed answer.
However - I'm sorry that my question was not specific enough.

What I meant: I want to adjust the Icon size according to the screen resolution, so bigger Icons for HighRes and smaller for LowRes-Displays. We already deliver different themes for this and want to reduce this to one theme for all screen resolutions.

And even on displays with same resolution some people prefer bigger, some smaller icons.
So it would be great to have an option to change Icon-Size from within the Locus

Themes - Vector maps / Scaling of svg's in Themes ?
February 02, 2016, 14:08:06
Hi,

I'v tried to scale Icons (svg's) with the OAM Elevate Theme.
There is an option at settings > Map - ojects & style > Map icon size
However it does not work with the Elevate Theme

and under settings > Map advanced > Vector Maps there is only an option for Text size

Is there a way to scale svg-icons in Custom Themes?

EDIT: btw, Google Translator translated me a few times, that you all currently miss most "Multi-language feature" right? I'm sure, this is something I may improve ...

Hi Menion,

It would be great if you could implement the multilingal Feature for  the maps.
However: IMO It would'nt change the situaltion for map providers that much.

A lot of APPs still use Mapsforge Mapformat 3 and will do so in future.
Thats the reason Tobias and I still provide generic Themes
AND
Map Providers will face the need of providing different Map formats in future.
This was clear for everyone since a year or so when rapid development of Mapsforge started over.

My decission is to stay with old format as long as its possible for a simple reason:
Providing various formats will confuse users to an extend that will lead to the death of free Mapsforge Maps.
Providing only new Map format would lead to same result cause users are downloading the maps and find that in 50% of the Apps these are not working.
Thats a strict nogo.

Only a minority of the average user has time enought to go into the details of Mapsforge -they want to spend their time outdoors.

So my conclusion: Better fewer features, gentle evolution than fast feature adding no one can handle ending in bad reputation for the whole Mapsfore project.

From my point of view the Multilingual Feature is missing in the Locus implementation.

Hi Baloni55

"s" ist added

With the bold string - thats funny. I have'nt found a reason for this so I made the string bold and afterwoods plain and it solved the problem.

BTW: While my name is Christian my nick is kech61 and I'm responsible for the WIKI-translation

Thanks for reporting this issue

Hallo erfi
