1) not - yet - as crazy as iOS - you can do a lot with the right tools. Pls. install x-plore as a start.
2) which version of LM are you using? 4 or Pro?
3) AFA means all files accessible. x-plore has that, LM4 as well (for now)
4) pls. tell the LM storage setup: settings-misc--default directories. Main directory and thevsub-folders. Once we understand your setup we can advise.
5) x-plore can handle everything, except writing files to EXT SD private folders. Only for the latter you'd need the PC based escape

Troubles & Questions / Re: track database merge ?
January 25, 2019, 08:31:51
Hi,
I'm currently not aware of any tool that is capable to do this.
My best tip is to export tracks into GPX files and backup/re-import them.

Kyle, I have no good idea what to do here. I really hoped that new version helps, unfortunately, seems not.

If you have patience with me, today will be published the new version on Google Play with some smaller fixes. May you please find a while and do a bug report with this version once more? Maybe there will be something different, maybe there will be an error I previously missed ... thanks.

Hmm, weird.

May you give a try to this test (Locus Map Free) version: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-Cki1snVVln1gxIoGv1FL7DL6DyN_xrJ ?
I've maybe found something, thanks.

Sounds like a lot of work and I'm not sure it will help in the end :/. It will be most probably connected to some weird issue in app, rather then some issue in the device I believe.
Maybe you may try to create a bug log once more, just with a minute delay after the app crash.

Hello,
thanks for shared database. Unfortunately no success. I tap on every possible visible track, also on some tracks in James > James tour of Georgia, also tried to create the copy of few tracks, nothing. No problem. So it seems not to be related to database, but something different.

Weird that clearly visible crash (based on your video), was not included in the log you sent before. Maybe you may try to create a log once more, maybe a minute after crash happen (to be sure, the crash will be in the log)?

Also may you please look into menu > About app > About app and write me here "User's ID" (or attach screenshot). I may try to find automatic crash based on this ID (never did before, but should work).

Good day ohgood,
first and most easy step: create a bug report by this method.

You were able to use SD card for point/track database before?? Rooted device? Android 4.1 or 4.2?
Otherwise Locus Map is unable to write into database placed on SD card!

After using Locusmaps for tracks recording three times today - each time for about an hour - I think I can say that it is stable again. At least it has not crashed any of those three times, and before I made the above changes to my phone settings, it crashed each and every time I tried to use it.

This just to let others know that there is something that at least resembles a solution.

This is not possible at the moment but heavily desired since years (i.e. by me)
You can vote for this topic. May be it will help.

ohgood, thanks, you are correct with tap on map. Will be fixed in next version.
What you mean by left/right panning? When you "tap and hold" on the map, you are not able to switch to right "statistics" tab?

Troubles & Questions / Re: Modify track/route

Ah understand. Suggest to give a try to "track editor": http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tracks:editing#track_repairs .
