It would be nice to manualy configure this notification. Define some file in which the user would be able to format the text being shown. User would use the variables like %hh%, %gpspos%, %timetoarrival%, %distancetoarrival%, %altitude% and so on. Something like your custom screens... it would be also useful to let user decide how often the notification will be refreshed. Also a nice feature will be to put some info IN THE ICON. I'm using GPS Notification application which shows speed in kilometers/hour as its app icon. It would be just great to have the possibility to configure the Locus recording track icon with whatever user want. For example speed or altitude. Or maybe some color alarms, when gps is lost or its very close to the destination. To be informed about important thing without opening the app itself.

I was just now on a 5 days long trip in mountains. I lost my signal about 12 times. My tracks have a big holes in them. Holes with lost kilometers and lost altitude changes (hiking). If I would be alarmed earlier, I would have the chance to force the gps fix after a few metres, and not kilometres.

Menion, please. Add some proper GPS-lost alarms. I know you are focused on more important things, but this one is critical for me and other people addictively recording their tracks. Prosim.

Quote from: "joeloc"Sure. But as a computer geek, i just like every file in my file browser to be associated with something useful. Non-clickable items irritate me :).

I feel the same.

Yes. Finally somebody feel the same need as me. Thanks guys. I was wondering, that maybe Im the only one who really needs this option. I will tell you something. Track recording is the main option I use in Locus. Im addicted of doing that, and I hate when I lost my signal and I didn't know about that.

Quote from: "joeloc""GPS signal lost" is quite an important alert. It can sometimes mean the difference between life and death to have a proper track recording. Imagine backtracking on a glacier in a sudden whiteout: Too bad if your smartphone lost the signal somewhere on the way up and you didnt notice because it was stuffed away safely in your backpack.
Therefore, I suggest an option:

#  repeat GPS Signal Lost Alert when recording a track.

When enabled and Locus is recording a track, you would repeat the alert sound every 30s or so. The alert should also play btw, when you do still have a signal but it's worse than the configured minimum accuracy.

Yup. I also suggested that a few posts above:
Quote from: "elmuSSo"- beep once or beep every x seconds, when signal is still lost (one beep not always can be heard when there is a noise around you)

Under review / Re: Locus to Locus commuications/sync

This will be cool. Exchanging POIs, tracks, maps, even the current position or currently recorded track.

Ormoru: there is also the Dropbox and Titanium Media Sync which I use successfully.

I will support you guys. Because recently I was creating a path from 30point, and at the end of creation, I realised that I made a mistake in point 7. I had to clear all points from 30 to 8 to make point 7 editable. Then I had to put point 8-30 again:(

Troubles & Questions / Sharing KML/GPX when exporting
September 09, 2011, 12:07:00
Hi. I was sharing my track (KML) to dropbox and I discovered it being zipped and then uploaded. This is wrong, because the zip file has always the same name. When I'm sharing two different tracks (one after another), one will be sent in this .zip, but the second one will ask me if I want to overwrite the previous one.

*** There should be possibility to share without zipping ( because I want to share the track, not its zipped version. What if somebody doesn't have unzip app? He will not be able to oppen my track )

*** There should be option to zip the file, but that zip file should have the same name as the track has + .zip at the end.

*** There will be a reason for using zips when there will be possibility to zip more then one together into one package

*** There should be also possibility to share a track from the menu when clicking on the track on map screen
