I totally agree, there is a fantastic field for introducing these intents. Besides the above examples, I think Menion can find a lot more interesting ones.

I think he just wants to associate the photo from his sd-card to the POI. Indeed, that could be usefull, I already needed that feature a few times.

You should make some illustration of that, because it can be understand in a few different ways:)

Were that in production before, or you reacted now so fast?

What do you exactly mean "an imaginary "8" around all axis."?

That is a classic problem. Try to calibrate your compass. GPS Status has this option. But I don't know if it really works. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. And Im still confused if the app reallu need to have this "Calibrate compass" option, or you can just make a calibration at any time, not in any app. Because to calibrate you need to "...rotate your device 1-2 times around each of its 3 axes then press OK"

Instead of manually entering to GPS Status every few days to downlaod GPS Assistance data, it would be nice to have this functionality in Locus. In one app I even seen the possibility to downlaod specific data for certain region of the world.

Implemented / Beep on GPS signal LOST
June 07, 2011, 13:36:03
Sometimes im losing my signal and Im not aware of that. I'm thinking that my track is still being recorded, but it's not and Im discovering that when Im trying to save my track and there is almost nothing to save:( If there will be some beep when the signal is lost, I would be able to take a phone closer to the window or take if from a bag to increase the chance of finding a signal. BTW, beep on GPS signal found is really great!

I would really like to see the Train category:) I really use them often.

The new place for adding photo is cool.
But, is there any chance to create a new mode? :
1. Clicking button - camera app is opening
2. Taking a picture and saving - we are coming back to Locus app...
3. ...and see a popup window with new POI creation with the GPS coords of WHERE THE PICTURE HAS BEEN TAKEN (taking coords from geotag of the photo or catch the moment of exiting from Camera app)

I was thinking about that. What do you think about that:

Instead of manually set the values in options Interval(meters) or Interval(seconds) you could add a new feature "Interval dependant of the current speed" or something like that. For example, these fixed values are great for some of the situations. You should set them differently in different situations (smaller values when on foot, mediocrate when in the car, big values when on train). But maybe Locus could adapt dynamically to your actual speed and dynamically cahnge these values. And then, instead of colouring the track, you could just make the intermediate points visible for the user. So if the user will go faster, the dots/point will be in bigger distances from each other. If the speed was small, dots will be more condensed. For the user this will look darker in the small speed segments, and more lighter in fast speed segments. Of course i understand that painting all that dots will be memory not efficient. But if you will add quick on/off switch just to oversee the certaing fragment of the track..

Under review / Re: Geoportal support
June 07, 2011, 12:43:56
Recently I heard that something changed on Geoportal, so you need to send some specific request to get the data back. I'm also struggling with adding their WMS sources to the GlobalMapper PC application.
