Ok. here you have some effects. this is just an fast example. this is your file rasterized to 9000x9000 geoTiff in black&white and then converted to sqlitedb. I didnt make a Labels, but it is possible. there are some holes in the atlas on some zoom levels, but on the max zoom it should be the whole image. during the conversion, Mapc2Mapc told me: there is a limit of 5000 tiles :/

.shp ->(FME)-> geoTiff ->(Mapc2Mapc)-> Locus sqlitedb

Quote from: "Novasilva"Yes, I'm only interested converting my vector lines, no raster.

You don't even have the raster. You have only vectors. But Locus sqlitedb format can only hold rasters. So you need to convert vectors(shp) into raster(geoTiff). This process is named "Rasterization". This is like rendering vectors into a bitmap. I willt try to give you some examples this evening. But, like I said, rasterization effects are ugly.

Hehe. Crazy. I was also very scared with that:) I thought I lost my recorded points. To be honest, the shortened track should be somehow distinguishable frome the normal one. For example it should be made with dots or dashes.

My solution is:
- Take for example .shp file,
- load it to FME Workbench (paid app on PC),
- rasterize the file to geoTiff file,
- take that geoTiff file and load it with Mapc2mapc app,
- generate the sqlitedb map with it.

If you know all detailed instructions, write to me. I can even make some proper tutorial.

But, what I experienced is:
Rasterized ( vector - bitmap converted ) files are UGLY and BIG. I'm thinking about some .shp to .osm conversion. Raster is raster and vector is vector. Vectors should stay in vector state, and be rendered in real time by Locus. Rasterization effects are really ugly.

Quote from: "menion"PS GO007 - shoot me is not necessary. If you don't mind missing buttons, you may just simply take screenshot in Locus by menu > functions > share > share screen

Share screen option is cool, I used it a lot to puublish my screens to facebook. But, what if you don't have any app to save the screenshot to your SD card? I think, there should be a third option "Take screenshot and save it to SD". Just like that, no sharing, no sending, just save screenshot to SD. Ofcourse user should choose the screenshot saving dir in options:)

Quote from: "menion"Time to target can be already set to top panel under Guiding item

Ah I see. But, in this case I need to turn off from other option in top panel (GPS, Time, Coordinates ...). And I use GPS option all the time. So I don't want to sacrifice that. And I don't want to jump between two of them all the time. Maybe you can make the top panel customizable with variables? Something like I already posted here: viewtopic.php?p=8948#p8948 . Maybe you can connect top panel with notification thing, synchronize them, or make them both configurable in the same way.

I prefer all-in-one. Its more convenient for me. And Locus is fulfilling my needs:) thanks menion!

Declined / Time to arrival

It would be cool to see 'time to arrival' instead 'bearing' in Guide On and Line to GPS lines. I don't need bearing, but time to arrival would be really useful. Instead of looking at time rings, user will have a chance to see predicted time which is left to arrive at the target point. Of course the perfect situation would be to make it configurable. User would have a chance to choose which information he wants to see at the end of line.

Hehe. Good motivation for menion:)

Exactly, I was thinking to write about that. Sometimes to check 'what value has this time ring' I need to move a screen a lot.

The link in that topic is dead

Menion, you can also add vibrating alarm. Sometimes vibrations are more feelable then sounds.

Even if the android's google earth is unable to read overlay, it would be brilliant to generate this overlay for desktop application.

It would be cool to instead of just exporting plain screenshot, export georeferenced GeoTiff or KML file!
