Die Kältewelle dauert noch 5 Tage - Du bewegst deinen Körper bis dahin nicht mehr raus?   Natürlich geht die Autonavigation auch wenn du zu Fuß unterwegs bist. Dann bist du eben ein langsames "Auto". Bis zur nächsten Kreuzung wirst du schon nicht erfrieren.  :mrgreen:

Damit aber kein falscher Eindruck entsteht: ich habe 2011 rund 100 MTB-Touren (kombiniert mit Bergsteigen) gemacht, auch bei kaltem Wetter...

Kannst Du das mal daheim testen?

- Kommt nach dem ein.- umstellen die Meldung "Prozess erfolgreich"?
- Lautstärke ok?
- Testest du zu Hause? Funktioniert nur wenn du wirklich draußen unterwegs bist(bei mir zumindest)

Bei der Kälte z.Zt. will ich nicht unbedingt mit dem Radl raus und auf Feldwegen als Fußgänger geht die Navigation nicht.

Das ist ja selbstverständlich, aber ich höre in Locus trotzdem nichts (ausser ein paar Piepstöne beim Navigiertest).

Braucht Locus eine andere Stimme als Pico TTS?

Ich habe mir schnell noch die SVOX Petra Stimme installiert, aber auch damit kann Locus Pro nichts anfangen.

- den großen Knopf im oberen linken Eck drücken
- Stimme auswählen
- Fertig

Da kommt bei mir "nur" das Locus-Hauptmenü.

Als Sprachmodul habe ich standardmäßig Pico TTS (LG-P970) und das funktioniert (z.B. mit Navigon, CoPilot).

Ich habe jetzt das Menü gefunden: Der Knopf ist die Kompassfahne oder ein Navi-Symbol, unter "Wählen..." ist dann "Text-to-speech" mit einem Fragezeichen versehen, Lautstärke ist ok, aber ich höre absolut nichts.

Was TTS angeht kenn ich mich eigentlich nicht so gut aus. Ich weiß nur, dass es bei mir auf 3 verschiedenen Geräten aufs erste Mal funktioniert hat. Wem TTS nicht passt oder bei wem es nicht funktioniert, kann ja auf die Stimmen von TomTom zurückgreifen. Hier im Forum gibts schon vorgefertigte Stimmen und eine Anleitung, wie man selber welche erstellen kann. Fazit: TTS App "muss" man nicht kaufen.

Ich finde in den Einstellungen meiner Pro-Version überhaupt nichts, was nach TTS ausschaut.
Kannst Du mir einen kleinen Hinweis geben?

Schaut gut aus, auch der Höhenverlauf ist toll.
Nur mit dem "Ordner anlegen" und Eingabe einer ganz kurzen Beschreibung bin ich noch nicht intuitiv drauf gekommen.

ich suche ein Windows-Programm, um meine Tracks (im GPX-Format) lokal übersichtlich zu verwalten (mit Suche nach eingegebener Beschreibung und Anzeige auf einer Karte (z. B. Vektorkarten)).
Ich will nicht jede Tour für immer in der Locus-Datenbank drin haben.

Ich habe mir mal "GPS Track Database" angeschaut; für den Preis ist das Programm sehr primitiv gemacht, nicht einmal für geschenkt würde ich es benützen :-(

Die Bayern- und Österreichkarten überdecken Gott sei Dank die angrenzenden Gebiete und mehr brauche ich nicht :-)

Nur eines stört mich: ich kann Feldwege, Forststrassen und geteerte Nebenstrassen kaum unterscheiden. Wird das mal besser?

However, I just purchased Locus in order to use the Ozi files I have, but I cannot figure out how to get started. My first hurdel is trying to figure out how to tell Locus where I store my offline maps on my SD Card. Could you point me in the right direction?

that is the simplest part: put the maps in sdcardlocusmaps.
But Locus cannot read this format, it is encrypted only to use in allowed hardware :-(
I converted all my my maps with MOBAC.

I'm not familiar with desktop OziExplorer but isn't there any possibility to cut whole map into two or more pieces? Then you should use mapc2mapc program or any other.

 

Sorry, no possibility.
Oziexplorer imports only the Kompass map and makes a simple .map file (with some coordinates, map projection). The real work of making a png file makes img2ozf without to cut the map.
I tried even Globalmapper where i can select a small part of my map to be converted but the result is 3 times bigger :-(

hmm file bigger then 1GB ... this is really big. I will not work on this tool, so if anyone want

there exist nice tool to convert map files to Locus called MAPC2MAPC

and about native support for Ozfx ... if you find legal way and some code or documentation how to do it, then it's not a problem (btw. there is no legal way to use Ozfx files as I know)

the trial version mapc2mapc has problems too with large files.

I spent many days to find a way to convert oziexplorer maps to locus without any success.


The app Androzic works with ozfx3 files (only the old ones made with img2ozf.exe version <= 3.03!!), but this app is very rudimentary, almost unusable.
