Under review / Re: Refresh of offline maps

Quote from: "S-Man"Hi
i'm not sure if i really got your problem, but my ideas:
- refreshing: you can put a simple button with a little symbol right next to the offline maps in the menu. i don't know how you act with the data but i think the ranges a user chose for downloading a special area are somehow converted into to edge coordinates. these can be stored in the sqlite db for this map, am i right? so the refresh button can have a lookup to this data, delete the old map and can download this area in the same way as a user choose it.

- merge: normally you can merge two different dbs into another, simply if you take the entries of one and write it into another. of course you have to be careful with things like indexes... the UI? if you are in the map menu for offline maps you can put an entry into the menu which normally toggles if you press the menu button: "Merge Maps". then you get a selecting mode, a checkbow nedt to every offline map shown in the list. you check every map you want to merge, press ok, that's it. the selecting mode can be done in the same way as in c:geo, do you know that?

so far my ideas, greets s-man

About refreshing, it is a good idea.
About merge, maybe it is not as simple as it seems. Besides, if people have an area between different maps it is usually because of the volum of information.  Maybe an alternative is, in offline mode, to open automatically another map when you goes out of the current one...

I think a lot of people is interested to have this functionality !!

Spoiler sync generate the photos and a html document for each cache named with the gc code.html
Add this functionality is as easy as:
1.- Select the directory where the photo are.
2.- When showing the details of a cache, search if exists the .html file for this cache, and a link to open it

Thank you in advance!
