Hi there,
last days I was inspired by an idea so I wonder how cool it would be to have a WYSIWYG Theme Editor...
This is a work in progress, but I think the current state is already interesting.

Currently compiled the complete code in webassembly so there is no need to install anything and this will be able to run on Windows / Linux / MacOS, so no limitations on your system. This tool is not optimized for mobile phones.

The main features:

  • load map, osm, xml data as maps (f.e. you can export maps from openstreetmaps to osm map). Note be aware to load larger files > 500MB. I've tested this tool only with small map data sizes.

  • load any current map theme and customize it as you want:
  • click on any element and change color, icons, border, pattern etc...
  • import V3 maps and save as V4 maps
  • rename theme
  • export (download) theme
  • when loading the link, everything you do will be complete executed on your PC, not data will be sent to any 3rd party or something, so your data is save! If you don't believe me, open link, disconnect your ethernet and enjoy "offline" working.

So if you like my work you can buy me a coffee:

Here's a short video on how to extract osm file from OSM and load it into my tool:

Finally here you can play and have fun creating, modifying themes:

If you are missing any features, or found bugs, let me know.
Kind regards
