When plotting a route in the planner, navigation prompts sometimes get missed. This sometimes happens at certain important intersections.
I also noticed that the route might include stairs.

I tried creating a route that took into account the shortcomings described. And it didn't work; everything worked perfectly.
But two days ago, I created a route in the planner several times, and each time there were shortcomings.

This got me thinking. But this morning, I remembered that I had automatic route recalculation enabled, and while driving, the route automatically recalculated. I repeated the steps for creating a route in the planner, then enabled route guidance. After that, I performed a manual recalculation. All navigation commands disappeared.

And one more thing. Now the navigation says "Straight ahead" at every intersection. This didn't happen before. It's incredibly annoying. It seems obvious to me that you should go straight unless you're told to turn.

@Andrew & Menion: if I understand the article correctly, the adb stuff will be on the developer side. Asamm will register for sure, so APK sideloading Locus should work as today.

App language messed up. I set to EN, the dialog still highlights german (the device language). App is in english, theme options in german.

yes, that was my interpretation too - less convenience for sure; less temptation (or impossible) to install a new beta while travelling, so maybe a good thing ;-) but more seriously, any inconvenience for potential beta testers means less testing

I tested the new version on two phones in GPS emulation mode.

1. "Straight ahead" commands are still generated at every small intersection. This is bad.
2. Navigation commands at major intersections no longer disappear when recalculating the route. This is good.
I plan to ride my bike for the next two days. I'll be using it extensively in real-world conditions.

"Straight ahead" - not sure if this is a new problem. I believe, at least our internal profiles for LoRouter, have always worked like this. In case you are riding on lower priority road over higher priority road, app report this command. And this is your case.

Straight ahead is important information. When I come to an intersection and Locus doesn't say anything, there are two possibilities. 1. I go straight ahead. 2. I turn left or right and the announcement wasn't generated. To be on the safe side, I have to turn on the screen and look. If the announcement says straight ahead, then I'm sure I'm on the right track.

After Menion explained the priorities, the logic behind using the "straight ahead" navigation command became clear to me. I hadn't known this before, which was why I'd been so clumsy when planning a route. :-)

Fine. I also believe they are very useful, but may be a little obtrusive.
It is almost impossible to say which "straight" commands keep and which not, so we are on the safe side > rather all, than be unsure during the ride.

Excuse in advance this little off topic, but, linked to navigations instructions (for example "Straight", "turn right", etc...), is there a way to customize them, please?
For exemple in French, my own language, there is some instructions which a super long "tournez légèrement à droite".
I would like to know if I can change each message type, by a personalised one.
Specific file to modify? Hard coded? In router profiles?.... 😊
