I think highlighted low points from level 10 are great. But it's not 100% reliable. Some low points only appear from level 12. I used to know when there were no more low points so it was because of the zoom. Now some are displayed but I never know if they are all there.

Agree, the revamped routing profile screen looks good

bug? poi search: only the bottom 25% of a poi search icon responds to tapping; maybe map or icon magnification setting is not taken into account?

This has been around for a while. 😉

I agree with that. I also have the issue that I do not see all the points - partially due to grouping in lower zoom levels. And since grouping groups POIs of different types together, I sometimes miss relevant POIs.

Im my case - for cycling - I want to highlight Toilets, water and supermarkets (input and output during the tour). In the screenshots you see, that I miss 2 supermarkets in lower zoom, because they are hidden behind a toilet.

I'm like to have an option to disable grouping all together (in custom zoom levels ideally).

Greetings, Ulrich

But in my case there was no grouping the symbol would have had space there

Hi,

Regarding the new map update screen where you can check multiple maps for bulk update:

A "Select all" button would be really nice (so I do not have to check 10+ checkboxes manually)

Greetings, Ulrich

Tapio

Can we have this also for the application logs?

online search experience - I type "water" and get category Waterfall, category Watermill, Waterloo USA 8000km away, then other equally useless addresses. Waterford Ireland only 1000km away but still lower in list than a place on other side of the planet. But no Water.

The bottom search panel covers the zoom buttons but of course when the panel is dragged down to uncover the buttons, the search is also dismissed.

When I tap a specific search result & the details are displayed, a directional icon is placed on the map, but there appears no way to quickly move the point to the middle of the screen other than manually dragging. Other panels have a recenter button for this purpose.

@Andrew Heard: I can confirm much of what you describe. The order of the search results is not sorted sensibly by distance. But what exactly do you expect when you search for "water"? In my opinion, there is no such category.

The search field at the bottom bothers me too. It covers the bottom panel and half of the centre button. Screenshot 1

Direction symbol: do you mean the round red symbol with the arrow pointing in the direction of the location you are searching for? You can click on it and select the square icon at the bottom of the next menu, then the map will jump to that location. Screenshots 2 + 3

Thanks for the weekend testing!

@Tapio
map refresh problem > thanks for the video, but I'm unable to simulate it  :(´. Will be watching it ...

limit notifications > not planned. There already is "Remove all" at the bottom of the list. Maybe add it to the top app bar?

@Graf Geo
search issue > I've pushed my colleague @marek about it.

notifications system > we had a mess around notifications internally. So the decision was to rewrite it from scratch. Advantages? A robust system, united with system notifications, allows for more flexible work on our side. For now, there should be no major difference. In the future, I believe in better notifications in the right time at the right place.

Just a quick reply to @graf geo - water - as in drinking water, fountain, tap water, spring? Red circle - yes - very unreliable to tap.

I also think, needs testing, the wrong search icon on map is enlarged when another is tapped in bottom panel, when multiple results.

New comment (yes wrong topic) when you tap a search result, the "tooltips" for other search icons on the map no longer work.

I'm cycle touring at present, so maximum testing, but also most tedious to report issues clearly and in correct topic. Apologies.

Track overview lacks track pattern

While "Image & stats" correctly uses the track pattern, the "Track overview" employs the default red line without pattern.

(Moved here from help desk as per Michal's advice.)

- new setup of routing profile in the planner > let's have open mind and think first on basic users  ;)

My first impression was positive, as the new list of profiles looks good. However, after practical use over the long weekend, I had to deal with a major disadvantage of the new setup:

I rarely change the profile. Most of the time I always use the same one (walking). What I do change frequently, however, are the parameters. And these are no longer visible at a glance. Each time I have to click on the 3-dot button in the list and then on "parameters". 2 superfluous clicks.  Because I change the parameters frequently, it is important for me to see them immediately.

If I now click on the blue round button at the bottom left in the route planner, only the list with the profiles opens. Bad, why do the parameters, which were only introduced some time ago, now have to be hidden in a submenu that can only be called up with 2 clicks?

I very much hope for improvements here and make the following suggestions:

  • Parameters of the active profile and the new list (scrollable) in one menu. So like before, only with the new list and a little tidier. See mockup screenshot 1.
  • Variant 1: Old menu, only make the link to the profiles more elegant/narrower at the top and this then leads to the new list with the profiles. See mockup screenshot 2.
  • Variant 2: The parameter menu remains open if I do not close it (with back button). If I click on the blue round button at the bottom left, the parameter menu appears immediately and not the profile list.
  • Alternative (perhaps ideal for all needs): In the settings, you can choose whether the setup is called up with the profile list or with the parameters of the current profile.

If this is all too complicated or takes too much time to implement, there should at least be an option in the settings to choose the old, tried and tested setup as an alternative.

In general: In my opinion, the detailed warning notice when deactivating the navigation instructions is superfluous, at least far too detailed and takes up an unnecessary amount of space. I have often deactivated this option, as this is the better option for my navigation needs, at least on flat terrain, and the blue warning text annoys me.
