Info label display via mhover only works for points, not for tracks - why?

In the case of points, the point label can be displayed when you touch the point with the cursor (on hover).

However, the track label can only be displayed permanently (simple or complex) or not at all. On hover would be nice here too.

Detecting if the track is under the map center cursor is a lot more complicated task than simple detection of the point icon. With more tracks on the map, this should slow down performance a lot. Not sure if it's worth it ...
