When I refresh the website, all libraries are made invisible and I have to switch everything on again laboriously that I need to work.
This is really annoying! >:(
Is it a bug?

Definitely not resetting my settings within an app - you can just try it with Google Maps. Everything stays as it was, all search results, all additional information windows, he screen is simply redisplayed.
However - and this is the most important thing here: the data is reloaded from the server, including changes to the cloud data by uploading changes from the smartphone (cloud sync).

I must misunderstand. If I browse to (say) https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-42.8961423,147.3219005,16.5z in my Windows web browser, then press F5 or ctrl+F5, the map is simply reloaded the same as browsing the 1st time to that URL. You talk about "website" and "app" as the same thing.

Hi Der olle Hansen,

I can totally understand how frustrating that must be! Unfortunately, this behavior is due to some technical limitations on our side, which we hope to address in the future. When you make certain items visible on the map, we have to reload all the data from the server, which can lead to a lot of traffic. The main issue is that we end up downloading everything you had visible previously, even if you don't need it this time (which can happen if you forget to hide things). On mobile, it's a bit easier because the data is stored locally.

Could you share a bit more about why this feature is important to you? My guess is that you're using it to track areas you've already been to, maybe creating a heatmap or something similar?

Looking forward to hearing from you!
