Menu>Settings>Track recording>Recording profiles/Advanced settings>Automatic export
by default there is no export type displayed
after export was once enabled, the export type e.g. GPX is always displayed in red letters in setting dialog although the "share exported data" is not enabled.
I think it would be more understandable if e.g. GPX is grayed, if "share exported data" is disabled

to be true, I do not understand why just this one settings of many (share exported data), should have influence color of wrote "export type" information. For example "Insert formatted description" should colorize this text also? I think main information here is a format you export to. Other settings are not so important.

Puh, i´l try to explain it better understandable
-  if user havn´t used "share exported data" ever, no export type is displayed in discription of "Automatic export", see first screenshot
-  if "share exported data" is enabled a single time, export type (GPX) is displayed in discription of "Automatic export", see 2.+ 3. screenshot 
-  if "share exported data" is next  disabled, export type (GPX) is furthermore displayed in discription of "Automatic export", see 4.+ 5. screenshot and so user suppose automatic export is enabled, but it isn´t
so for user it´s better understandable if "share exported data" is disabled, export type (GPX) is grayed or not displayed similar in default situation

is not true, or there is any problem I'm not aware of.

If you have enabled or disabled "share exported data", it should have absolutely no effect on visibility of "GPX" text. Set whatever you wants in export screen, but once you tap on "SET" at top of screen, this should display "GPX", "KML", whatever text in description of profile.

So simply:
- no text visible
- open "Automatic export" settings
- set whatever here!! and tap on "SET"
- text is visible

no, exactly so it work at the moment

Probably i´m too old for complex tasks
my last attemt:
preparing track recording i take a look on settings, in part "Advanced Settings" i read:

Automatic export (GPX) Export recorded track to files automatically

and so i´m interpreting, recorded tracks are exported automatically.
But if the track is really exportet depend on setting "share exported data" is enabled !

For me it´s not a Problem so let it as it is

Hi, sorry for a delay.

Anyway, are you sure with "depend on setting "share exported data" is enabled"?

Because settings "Share exported data" do only a single thing - after export to file is completed, it "call" to whole device "Is there any application that wants to handle this exported file?" . Nothing more. So first step is "Export file itself to card/dropbox". This is done everytime. Then, if you have enabled "Share exported data" is as second step call "Sharing" into system.

Not sure if you understand me, hope so . Simply ... if you have enabled "Share exported data" or not, track should always be exported as file to place you define. If this do not work, then it have to be an issue.

The whole time i didn´t noticed option "Disable" inside 3-dot button and so i mixed "share" and "save"

Hmm so seems that major problem is hidden button in top panel. Thanks, agree that it should be better - improved.

i would prefere  slide-switch "on/off" e.g. guidance settings

Hmm switch on/off is interesting idea. I still do not like it a lot because in many cases users do not know that they may tap on other place then switch itself. But I'll think about it. Thanks
