on pic 1 you see four existing *.hgt files
on pic 2: one missing *.hgt
on pic 3: two missing *.hgt files
pic 4: the expected view...

no big problem
... if you know the secret  ;)

secret is simple. When on any tile is missing even a single row of altitudes from HGT files, tile won't be shaded. That's all :)

As i wrote *.hgt IS available.
missing small areas on EXIST *.hgf info.

you may see that RED tiles are always partially in area, where are missing HGT files (top left, bottom right)

funny thread...
so again  :D

fact:
- in srtm folder exists only the right one *.hgt file (eg n48e16 in this case)

Pic1: missing shading on the left side:

hm so i replace(!) *.hgt with next *.hgt on left side (n48e15)

Pic2: missing shading on the right side:

conclusion:
- if the unimportant(!) *.hgt file beside "my" *.hgt is missing, my red POI-area has no shaded map.

pic3: only with n48e15 AND n48e16 in the srtm folder it works

hi :) I'm not sure if you read my responses. Because I wrote it many times ... I need covered whole one map tile (256 x 256 px) with data from HGT files to cover it with shading. If there is place on one tile, where are HGT values not available, Locus do not shade this tile ...
