How to change icons in upper bar ??

I can default to 1-4 icons in the upper bar.
But how can I change/delete this icons?
If I use change by long pressing it, I come to the function window. But if I try to uncheck, I get the error
"Elements is here already"

How can I handle differnt icons?

- to change icon to another, you have to select one from list, that is not yet used. So one not checked
- to reduce number of top buttons, go to menu > settings > map - control & panels > buttons at top panel

but if the icon I want to get rid off is checked?
I don't want to reduce the number of icons, but I want to change them.
I would like to have the compass icon for the data import icon.
I think this should be possible?

what happend when you mark now the compass in the list - without(!) try to uncheck "data import"

I can not mark the compass in the list .

I can reproduce this only when i have the "compass" already in the right panel.
So i removed it from right panel and changed a top bar icon to compass.
Don't know whats wrong but I had also troubles in the past.
Sometimes it's tricky - but it should work...

funny discussion .. where is point? Settings a panel is simple .. all buttons that are already visible on top or right panel, cannot be added twice!! So if you want a compass at top and this button is already at right panel, you firstly need to remove it from right panel.

I worked that out, and I can understand why, but it wasn't obvious to me at first.
