Download of online maps
« on: April 10, 2012, 12:24:12 »
Hi,
I downloaded an online map with maps manager with the tab "Download". After the selected part of this map is completed, can I later download other parts (e.g. another zoom or a neighborhood region) of this map?

Hi menion,
thank you. I will try it later after understanding it.

I am always fascinated what your program can do (especially the not obvious functions) ;-)

PS: Did you finished your vector maps v0.4 of Austria? The links in the dropbox have disappeared.

Sorry, it is to high for me:
I have a already downloaded part of an online map (Tirol from OutdoorActive.com ca. 270 MB). I want to expand this card to a bigger area.
I select this map in the Map Manager tab online, go to tab download. When I select here a choice I get "It exists a non finished offline-map. really continue and delete the actual progress? Yes/No".

Of course I select no :-(

Select "YES".
The wording of the message is bad. Selecting "YES" will not delete anything. You are merely saying that you no longer want to download the rest of the previos download that you had paused, and want to start a new download.

On the page where you select the layers desired, at the bottom of the page is the button "Change Type"
Click that button, then select "External map (SQL type)", this will allow you to navigate to and select the
personal map that you started previously, in order to add to it.

tramp20-
After another re-read of your post, I am not 100% sure if you had started an "Online" map or an "Offline" map.
If you had started an "Online" map, the second portion of my above post would be incorrect.
You would select as type-  "Online shared map (SQL type).

But you can still use an "Online" map while "Offline".  Confusing?!!

It was really an online map.
But I think my problem comes from another online map which has not yet finished (due to the daily limit of 10000 tiles).
I will wait some days until finished and try again.

Thank you for answering.
