In which version is this 2 seconds delay included? I would like to test it because I use presets to assign hardware buttons to layout actions for example for my hardware button dashboard I need to use presets because there is no action task for "display dashboard".

This goes so far that I do even use a slow double click to enable and disable dashboard in 1 second to do a quick check on one dashboard value. All this during active screen lock to prevent wrong touch events caused by sweaty screen.

3.34.1.2 & Pro 3.34.1 - I notice the message regards change of preset is now displayed so quickly it is nearly too quick to read. Previously it stayed on the screen a little too long. It could be a little longer to allow reading, or alternately don't display at all? When a user selects a preset do they need to be told further?

I like it, before the change it was in the way. It did cover my current position if you use the option allign my position at bottom. But now it could confuse people who don't know about it.

The new application icon on Android 8 is very nice.
@menion please don't forget to update the API Icon if your work on the new Android icon design is done:

Release notes are always in English a friend who doesn't know English asked me what all this stuff stands for.

I do share your problem, but won't like any time consuming solutions based on change contents just to make some non technical people happy. We have to remember how frequently we get new change logs and how many languages we do support. This could block alot of time.

I thought about solutions to get this done without spending additional time like some kind of automatic translation. But this would need alot of time to set it up.
Maybe it would be sufficient to hide all and just make just 1 generic mutlilanguage text block:

Locus Map update got installed.
New Version does contain
- 5 new features
- 2 removed features
- 8 bugfixes
