Yes, of course. Thats what i do since 2011, but it does not help anymore  . I hoped i am not the only one with this problem and i only missed the solution...

It happens for a while (maybe since the update to android 10), that locus shuts down, even as a system app without any energy saving level, when i switch to another app. It happens mostly with the camera app, when i forget to go back to locus, but any other app too. It is not that Locus crashes, it happens only, when the phones screen is out and another app is in the foreground. It would not happen, when i use another app and go back to Locus afterwards.
In the past, every thing worked well. When i record a route now, it interrupts the routing.
It is a Xiaomi Pocophone with 6gb RAM and 128GB Drivespace of which nearly one half is free.

I was once in Paluse (19 Years ago). I have not found it on your map. On this map i found it immediately because of the national park boudaries on low zoomlevel. I think this is true for Map1.eu and LoMaps as well.

Yess, thanks god. Hard to imagine, a thing i got used to (wrong word, usage became obvious as google to me) so much, disapears from one day to the other...hm, i should better donate

I want to ask, if my beloved map1.eu map is down for some days ? Because of its czech origin, i ask here, as locus is czech software (as well as many maps). Maybe anone knows more, or is in contact with Pavel Klinger.

Thank you for report! The missing sea areas - really stupid mistake. It'll be fixed in next version. Current version really doesn't display some camp site (also fixed). Please feel free to post what other symbols are missing (for example viewpoint)

I just compared the map of Belgium (still have an Old Version on a Tablet).  Besides from Campsites and viewpoints  I haven't found more missing points so far. Zoos are new, i Found.

My mistake. I thought, it was here, where one could choose from different poi groups. But this is actually possible up to a certain point in the new theme.

Too bad, the new vector theme misses a lot of important Symbols. No more Campsites for instance. If this is not enough, the sea is white now (Holland and Belgium). The Old theme, with the ability to select from a wide range of topics what is shown on the map wasmuch better. Please fix this until next Friday, when I will need it 😎.

Um nochmal auf die Ausgangsfrage zurückzukommen, ich würde vielleicht gerade nicht mit Vektorkarten beginnen. Hieße das doch, sich unbesehen eine fette Karte von z.B. Spanien runterzuladen, obwohl man doch nur Mallorca braucht.
Du hast die verschiedenen Onlinekarten entdeckt. Viele davon sind im Programm downloadbar. Wähle zunächst eine weltweit verfügbare Karte (z.B. OSM), verkleinere entsprechend (zoomstufe 4 z.B.) und suche dir dann auf der Karte Mallorca. Nun kannst du wieder vergrößern. Suche dir deinen Weg auf der Karte. Suche dir einen Abschnitt der für dich interessant ist und probiere nun Karte für Karte aus. Der Download erfolgt dann entweder durch wahl des gesamten Bildausschnitts oder auch entlang eines selbstdefinierten Pfades. Anleitung hier :http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php/manual:map_download
Mein Tipp: ich finde Map1.eu ganz hervorragend (allerdings darf man nicht so viel downloaden), aber auch MTB CR ist sehr gut, deckt mittlerweile ganz Europa ab und hat ein sehr großzügiges Downloadlimit (immer pro Tag). Das sind alles tschechische Karten und ich mache kein Hehl draus, wenn ich zugebe, diese gegenüber den meisten anderen deutlich zu bevorzugen. Aber Locus ist ja auch eine tschechische App. Das kommt nicht von ungefähr.

As i am a great fan of czech mapstyle (shocart, smartmaps, mtb cz), which all cover at least a part of the region i live (near Dresden), i am very excited about the new project map1.eu. These maps are excellent! And this is pure understatement. It is the first OSM based map with a reasonable and goodlooking representation of rocks (saxon / bohemian switzerland is nearly invisible on most OSM maps).
Unfortunately, the limit of 500 tiles a day prevents it to be my new standard map.
It would be great, if you could offer a solution to buy tiles (like cycle map or vector maps). Sure, this would as well help the authors of this great project.

Thank you for the fast help. No idea how this could happen, i usually dont play around in the settings as  long as everything works fine. Maybe it was due to a sort of "selfservice" of the phone yesterday, as it played a little bit wild, opening and closing tabs and menus (although locus was not loaded actually) until i switched it off by taking out the battery.

i´m a enthusiastic user of "locus". Until now, i had no reason to post a question here, because everything worked very well and the frequent updates
improved the app further. But since the latest update (yesterday) all the online maps ar gone (except the cached). They are all still in the list, but if i try to load them, it only leads immediately to a blank white screen. Connection is ok, there is no hint like "loading.." or so. After trying to load these maps, they get red in the list.
Could you please give me a hint what to do, though it seems i´m the only one having this problem.
