Oh and another thing, what about implementing support for GCVote?
That would be great! A additional/related thing would be to display the Favorite count and/or Premium/Fav ratio.

Good points from druki and thanks for implementing/fixing those :)

I already suggested some other geocaching related stuff in another post but wanted to bring it up here again because it fits the topic.

Question in short: Would it be possible to make an option to only display all waypoints of a specific type (e.g. all finals, all parking...) on the map? Background is described in the other post.

Thanks,

Hi there :)

It would be nice if it was possible to display only one (or maybe several) specific waypoint type(s).

Background / use case:
I maintain a list with solved mystery caches. Usually i add a final waypoint, and as soon as i go out to collect some traditionals and multis i want too display all those mystery finals as well. Sure, I can select "Load all waypoints", but the problem with that is that ALL waypoints from all caches types are displayed at once (parking, stations, temporary waypoints for projections ... and so on).
This sometimes results in a REALLY crowded map with all those waypoints and lines between them.
If i could just choose to: "Display all waypoints of type" -> Final, that would be very helpful.

Another thought:
I believe i read that it has already been fixed, that if you hide a cache from the map, also the waypoints and the "connection lines" should be hidden. Please consider to make it an option to only remove the connection lines and keep the waypoints.
One may want to:
- display all mysteries
- display all final waypoints
- hide all mysteries with finals staying on map

Last but not least:
Is it possible to change the color of the lines that connect the waypoints? For me its red, and i would love to change it to get better contrast on some maps.

I believe those changes could add some additional flexibility. Thank you for listening :)

Hi,

i was just playing around with Locus when i imported a waypoint into a category and forgot to de-select the option to clear the catagory on import. Now i lost around 30 pretty important waypoints :(
I did manual backup some time ago but its not containing that data.

Is there any temporary file or something that i could use to possibly revert this?

Thanks,

Wishlist / Geocaching LIVE - more features?
February 11, 2012, 17:56:13
Hi.

Loading pocket queries and uploading field notes is already great!

I don't know what features the API presents, but are you planning to implement more?

What would be cool is to be able to actually perform complex Cache-Queries from within Locus. I know that there already is the Geocaching addon, but its limited and probably slower than GC API would be.

There already is an option to "Update Cache". I don't know if its from the GC addon or using Live API. However, it would be very useful to Update an entire list of caches at once. Assume you have imported a pocket query that runs on monday and would like to get all the up to date log entries on friday. Currently you would have to either update the Pocket Query manually and redownload it or update the caches one by one.

Maybe you can share some plans/thoughs you have regarding GC live :)

Hi there.

I just registered, so first of all thanks for this great high quality app! Good work - period.

Now to my question:
I want to use the POI alert to notify me about nearby geocaches. The problem with the notification sound is that there is no way to play a slowly repeating "beep" sound for example. If you select "play until stopped manually", the selected sound plays instantly over and over. If you select "play once" you can easily miss it.

Suggestion:
Add a delay option where you can specify a delay between lets say 100 - 10000 milliseconds. So the sequence would be
sound - delay - sound - delay .... until its stopped manually. This way its not annoying and you wont miss it so easily.

Thanks,

Quote from: "menion"about deleting (hiding) you're correct. When hide, waypoints remain, when delete, they're removed correctly. Sorry, fixed now ...
Great, i was just going to ask about this :)
