No caching of POIs when panning the map and no loadings of POIs during movement

Hi,

I typically load a GPX track and plan a route in Locus Maps. Then I look along the route for more interesting POIs I could add to the route.
But to do this I have to stop panning the map completely so Locus Maps triggers the loading of POIs in view. This is really bad for a quick check over the route, because I have to constantly stop panning.

Also, POIs are immediately unloaded when out of view. so if you go back and forth, you have to stop again for the same POIs to load again.

It would be much better if LM constantly loads POIs into memory, even when the map is panning.

Hi,
do you have and use offline LoMaps? They contains also offline LoPoints. Then loading is pretty quick. Also, in case you want to see a specific LoPoints quickly and more easily, use the highlight option.

I have LoMaps and when LoPoints set to Offline they appear instantly. I'm pretty sure it was set to Automatic before and not Online. Now when I set it back to Automatic, it also seems to be instant, but very few LoPoints appear a bit later. Does it use a mix of Offline and Online data?

I still think the offline loaded points should be cached for a while, because it is normal to pan the map around when searching something or planning. Right now the points are forgotten as soon as they are out of view.

I actually was looking for the opposite option.

The map can be much too busy with all LoPoints constantly on.
