Struggling with Locus Map Web

I have a cycle route (see gpx attached). In edit mode I added a route point (via) to the route simply to notify me of a control in case I cycled past it. Is it the case one can only see these (shaping & via) points in edit mode? Because outside of edit mode I can't see them in the web app.

Everytime I add a route point it creates an additional point e.g. If i add a route point between 6 & 7 (see screenshot), 7 becomes 9, 7 becomes the new route point, and an additional route point 8 (shaping) is created which appears in the left hand pane but not on the map. And an error message appears under point 7:
Sorry, route calculation failed. Please try it again or move points closer to the paths.

If I then delete point 8 the error goes away, and the route points are as they should be.

See below screenshots when a route point is added the error that's generated and what happens when the invisible route point is deleted.

Just found when adding route points to the existing route (and I was very careful to place the route point on the existing route line, icon changes from a crosshair to a pin) it decides to change the route. I just noticed this, when adding a subsequent point a straight line suddenly appeared momentarily and I noticed the previous section of the route changed!!

It seems this webapp is proving to have very limited use. Would appreciate some support here.

Hi
FYI:  I also see the same issue.  I believe it is a bug.

Here is what I see:

1/ When you do a single click on a location which lies on the route then what it should do is add a new route point at that location at the END of the route.  So if you have a route with points 1 to 10 the new point would be 11.
However what actually happens is that it creates TWO new points at the exact same location. One of them is an intermediate point and the other is at the end.  So if you have a route with points 1 to 10 and you click on the  route between points 5 and 6 then you get a new point 6 , the previous points 6 to 10 are shuffled up one to 7 to 11, and you get a new point 12 at the clicked location.  On the map new point 12 is on top of new point 6 so you can't see 6, however you can see what has happened in the itinerary.  It's very confusing.

You can workaround this by ensuring that when you click on the location on the route you keep the mouse down and first drag it away from the route - enough to ensure it is recognized as a new intermediate point - then position it exactly where you want it before releasing the mouse button.    Then it does work properly.    (If you only drag it a very small distance then you can still get the same issue.)

2/ When you use the itinerary to add an intermediate point which lies on the existing route -  create a "gap" point in the itinerary then click on the location on the route  -  it is even worse.  It creates two new intermediate points at that location (none at the end) , and so as it cannot generate a route between two locations at the exact same coordinates you get the message "Sorry, route calculation failed. Please try it again or move points closer to the paths."
