Wear OS does not load map, but did show route

Recent change, possibly by updated Samsung Watch 6 Wear OS?

The watch loads and shows my route plus next direction, but on top of an empty screen.
No more image of the map.

Tried battery saving exclusions for Locus *.
Rebooted mobile phone (S 25) and watch.
No change.

Please help!?

Try clearing the cache for the Locus app on both the phone and watch, then reconnect the watch through the Locus Wear OS settings. Also check if the watch has the latest version of the Locus companion app installed.

Fixed it.
I did also try the suggestions, no go.

I finally figured out that I did not have this location maps downloaded. I used to, years ago, but deinstalled them for space saving.
The mobile app doesn't care, it still shows a full map of the current location.

When I downloaded the map of this location, it showed up on the watch. Yes.

Must be in the manual, somewhere.
But a visual hint on the watch would be very useful.

As in: "your mobile has not downloaded a map of this location, so unable to show."

Development, users, would you agree?
