Radar SIGMA Reco 80 kompatibel?

Bis jetzt nutze ich das Radar von Garmin mit LocusMap erfolgreich.
Da die Akkulaufzeit für eine Ganztagetour eher nicht geeignet ist, mein Radar kein Rücklicht hat - das mit Rücklicht dann auch keine Bremslichtfunktion und keines davon mit einem Frontscheinwerfer koppelbar, möchte ich mir das Radar SIGMA Reco 80 zulegen. Das hätte ein Rücklicht, eine Bremslichtfunktion und ist mit meinem Aura100 von SIGMA koppelbar. Ist via ANT+ mit Radcomputern und BT mit der SIGMA Ride Handy-APP koppelbar.
Ist das Radar auch mit LocusMap kompatibel - so wie eben das Garmin Radar? Hat das schon jemand erfolgreich in Betrieb?

nur eine kurze Info von mir: Das ANT+ Radar-Profil wird von Locus Map nicht unterstützt (ich bin mir über die Zukunft von ANT nicht ganz sicher), und die BLE-Kommunikation wird sich wahrscheinlich von Garmin Varia unterscheiden. Aber das wurde noch nicht getestet.

just a quick info from me: ANT+ Radar profile is not supported by Locus Map (I'm not very sure about the ANT future), and BLE communication will probably be different compared to Garmin Varia. But not tested.

Danke - ich werde es einfach testen, sobald ich es habe. BT kann das SIGMA Radar ja, weil es mit der eigenen APP funktioniert.

Getestet ... funktioniert nicht. Das SIGMA Radar wird von LocusMap nicht einmal erkannt!
Auf Nachfrage bei SIGMA wurde mir geantwortet, dass es aktuell ausschließlich nur mit der eigenen APP via Bluetooth gekoppelt werden kann und auch nur für die Statusabfrage bzw. Firmwareupdate.
Die SigmaRideAPP wird im Frühjahr 2026 ein Update erhalten (und auch das Radar), um die Radarfunktion auch über die APP anzuzeigen (ob dann eine Verbindung mit LocusMap möglich ist, ist nicht sicher). AKtuell funktioniert dies nur über ANT+ mit allen Radcomputer, die ANT+ unterstützen. Also mit den eigenen SIGMA ROX 11.1 und 12.1 und GARMIN etc.
Was aber funktioniert, man kann den SIGMA Radcomputer mit dem Radar und der APP koppeln, erhält dann VISUELL via Radcomputer die Radaranzeige und die Audiowarnung via APP am Handy - mit dem wieder Kopfhörer etc. verbinden kann....

Vielleicht ist es doch eine Überlegung wert, das ANT+ Protokoll für Radar in LocusMap einzubinden?
Wird ja schließlich von sehr vielen (wenn aktuell nicht von allen) Geräten (Sensoren, Radcomputer, Fitnesuhren...) benutzt!

Und doch auch in LocusMap für viele andere Sensoren bereit gestellt....

Ich behalte und nutze das SIGMA Radar dennoch, weil es einmal mit meinem Frontscheinwerver SIGMA Aura 100 drahtlos kommuniziert, eine Bremslichtfunktion beinhaltet und über den SIGMA ROX Radcomputer in Summe ein gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis hat - und die Akkulaufzeit inkl. Rücklicht wesentlich höher ist, als beim Garmin-Radar ohne Rücklicht.

Tested... doesn't work. The SIGMA radar isn't even recognized by LocusMap!

When I contacted SIGMA, they replied that it can currently only be paired with their own app via Bluetooth, and only for status queries and firmware updates.

The SigmaRideApp will receive an update in spring 2026 (and so will the radar) to display the radar function via the app (whether a connection with LocusMap is then possible is uncertain). Currently, this only works via ANT+ with all bike computers that support ANT+. This includes the SIGMA ROX 11.1 and 12.1, Garmin, etc.

However, what does work is pairing the SIGMA bike computer with the radar and the app. You then receive the radar display visually on the bike computer and the audio alert via the app on your phone – to which you can then connect headphones, etc.

Perhaps it's worth considering integrating the ANT+ protocol for radar into LocusMap?

It's used by a great many (if not currently all) devices (sensors, bike computers, fitness watches, etc.)!

And yet it's also available in LocusMap for many other sensors...

I'm keeping and using the SIGMA radar anyway, because it communicates wirelessly with my SIGMA Aura 100 front light, includes a brake light function, and offers good value for money overall when used with the SIGMA ROX bike computer - and the battery life including the rear light is significantly longer than with the Garmin radar without a rear light.
