Livetracking

Hello everyone,

I'd like to use the live tracking feature.

I've created a "Family" group for this purpose.

When I start a track and activate live tracking, the track is no longer recorded, and the speed is no longer displayed.

Since I haven't received an answer in the German-language forum yet, I'm posting the question here again.

Does anyone use this feature and could perhaps help me? I use Locus Map 4 Gold in the latest version.

Hello Wole,

I do not perfectly understand the problem. Live-tracking does not record a track. It just sends the current location to the server and receives the locations of other users in the same group.

Recording of the track is a different functionality.

Anyway, both may be heavily influenced by the battery optimisations set in the system. Have you checked it?

Example: I've set the LiveTrack function to autostart.

Now, when I start recording a track, the LiveTrack function starts (the icon is green), but my track isn't recorded.

If I understand you correctly, I can only use the LiveTrack function or record a track, not both at the same time?

Then the function would be useless to me, since I actually want to do both.

No, there is no reason why both functions can't run together. When you start track recording without a Live tracking, does it work as expected?
