@Menion, sorry to ask this again, but I think it got lost in thread for last version: Do you think it makes sense and is possible to change the sizes of highlighted and not highlighted LoPoints separately? I find the highlighted much too big in comparison, but can only make them smaller for the price of making the non-highlighted minuscule.

And a similar problem:
In the Expert Settings, you can change the text sizes for "Dynamic Elevation", "Cursor to GPS", "Time Circles", and "Distance Circles" - but not for the "Auxiliary lines". I use that for measuring distances with two-finger-tap, but the number is so small that's it's barely readable, especially on the road and depending on map background.

Hmmm, at best a collapsible/expandable hierarchy with the possibility to show/hide all sub-items.

At the very least to be able to activate/deactivate all eye symbols.

Is there a way you can trigger the android media indexing? It's unfortunately not as transparent as the direct file access. You sometimes take pictures, but it takes a while until it appears eg in Locus, Google Photos etc...

I second those requests. Now that the track gallery is gone, I went back to geotagged photos, wanted to display my pictures from the day. First problem: Folder not listed -> no way to trigger update of list for new pictures. Then, as Tapio said, at least add (Un)Select All, and either nested hierarchy or text search. My list of folder is also far too long to use here.

"Trojan" ... hmm, as I see, this "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml" is often false positive. Not sure what I may do with it. Our code is for sure clean. If there may be a Trojan in any 3rd party library ...  ... it may of course, but I believe we do not use any unverified libraries.

text size for two-finger measurement > give me a little time. I have some idea in my head, so I'll try to realize it. I've noted this idea and will let you later.

And the improvements in the "Geotagged media" dialog > I'll have to discuss this with @Marek Scholtz as this is mainly his work.

@menion, no problems, it was just an observation to share with any users downloading via Windows

I eventually downloaded direct to device. I then copied back to Windows PC. PC didn't detect any security issue. There was a virus signature update yesterday - "Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.435.767.0)". Similarly, there was no issue with the latest download to Windows for MapGooglePlay_4.31.3 + Auto_1194_release.apk.

I think opinions will differ on how much bigger, I'm sure. For me, the fact that the icon is given a bright blue bubble is already highlighting enough. Of course, keeping the icon itself in default size makes the whole thing automatically bigger, but to me, this is just way out of proportion.

But just so we're talking about the same thing, I attached a screenshot. I think at least the padding around the icon and the border of the bubble should be thinner. Or, alternatively, separate size factors

One more question: Why not keep the base color of the icon, and instead render everything with fixed light-blue? I mean, the un-highlighted icons all have colors based on categories, would make sense to use those for the hightlighted as well, no?

The setting "Unlock the screen" is not persistent across program restarts. It always resets itself to off.

Also in the Presets, this option can't be added to a preset despite being offered in the options.

Did something change with the way Locus handles language settings in 4.31.3? After I installed that (from Google Play), Locus suddenly started up in German. I checked the settings immediately, but Locus was set to "System default" and my system was definitely set to "English (UK)". Don't even know why Locus would choose German, I'm living in German-speaking country but have everything set to English - only the mobile provider might be identifiable as German.

But it gets worse: So I set Locus manually to "English (UK)", which worked, but now my times are still shown with "AM/PM", although I definitely also have "24h clock" set in my system settings (am/pm is the work of the devil ). Unfortunately, that's something I can't explicitly override in Locus under "Language & Units".

Any idea?

Every update brings some surprises: broken functions, changed personal settings like this, complicated UI...

Went for a ride on Friday and Locus did fine (beside of the broken guidance). Got the update on saturday evening, went for a groupride on saturday, was the group navigator. Started Locus with navigation mode and had to slow down on each possible junction to unlock the screen. I was yelled a couple of times and the group was not happy with me. Fun has gone. No, when I'm on the bike I don't want to fiddling in any kind of app.
Tried to find "lockscreen" ("Sperrbildschirm") in settings by find function: no matching results and after 15s display went off and all results lost. dangit. The find function in settings is slow as hell.
@menion - may I ask you one more time NOT to touch my settings anymore and test every release PROPERLY BEFORE publishing it?!? I'm begging you for years. Thank you.
How many more users do you want to get rid of? I'm the last one with Locus of a group of eight. Don't know why still hanging with this app.

Thats a smart strategy.
There are some bugs existing in Locus since a couple of years, i.e. doubled points displayed, sporadic crashing route planer, the whole presest system, broken guidance....
How long should I wait for updates?


Disable automatic updates is a mistrust against the developer. If I do that I shoud better deinstall the app or either never get updates.
