Thanks for the new version.

But where has the track gallery gone?
Images are no longer displayed and the "show Media" option under Settings > Points and Tracks > Tracks no longer exists.

Some progress on geotaggedmedia, but still, no hierarchy, so I cannot easily show (eye symbol) e.g. 50 folders out of the listed 200.

No more Track Gallery in V 4.31

I'm really surprised that no one but me misses the Track Gallery (photos visible at recorded tracks).

This was introduced with beta version 4.30.1.3 (see here), discussed in the forum and improved several times. I think all beta users liked the Track Gallery.

Now it has disappeared without comment in the current release version. Is there a reason for this? Will it come in one of the next versions? I have now reinstalled beta 4.30.1.8 because I had got used to the Track Gallery and would like to keep it. But of course this is not a permanent solution.

I would like to receive an explanation. Thank you.

I had installed AFA version 4.31 and there was definitely no track gallery. At least not for me. I wrote about it right away. It wasn't mentioned in the list of news either.

After uninstalling and reinstalling the beta, it's back.

Does your video really show 4.31?

I tried again and reinstalled V 4.31.0 + Auto (AFA). As feared, still no track gallery.  

No photos are displayed for the tracks. No matter which directory, not even the one you mentioned. That's strange, because it worked fine in the last betas. The geotagged photos are displayed correctly on the map. But not for the recorded tracks.

Is the "show Media" option displayed under Settings > Points and Tracks? It is no longer available for me either.

Now I'm going to go to the trouble of uninstalling the new version and reinstalling Beta 4.30.1.8.

It would be nice if Menion could comment on this. Perhaps it is due to my device and my Android version. However, this is unlikely, as it worked correctly with all betas since the introduction of the track gallery.

Hi guys,
new version 4.31.1 is just being published...

Few unfortunate changes that come...

1. gallery you miss > result of our internal discussions. Part of the team is worried, it will collide with the planned "Sync of attachments". So they should come, but later in a slightly different style.

2. new "Choose default action" in route planner profiles removed. Again, a lack of communication in the team and general worry about increasing complexity.

3. just removed Google Drive support ... completely. Google announced limitations of full access to the folder structure a long time ago. We missed this info, and since 1. 9. 2025 Locus Map seems to be blocked (if you are logged, it still works). Sorry. Solution exists only partially and is really complicated.

4. back press in the "Other POIs" search reverted. It was not possible to choose an active database file. We have to do it a little differently.

Hmm, not good news.

1. when do you estimate that "Sync of attachments" will come and then hopefully the Track Gallery again?

2. not a good idea to remove the setting. Can't you at least put it in the Expert Settings? I definitely want to be able to select "Continue with" as the default and not always have to click twice.

I'll stick with beta 4.30.1.8 for now, because I do not want any deterioration...

Menion, Geotagged Media, will there be more changes in handling? I have maybe 200 folders, turning 100s of eye symbols on/off is not realistic.

Otherwise I'd have to rename and put 20k images into one folder and try to use date filtering.

Hierarchy was better in the old instance of geotagged photos.
