Here in Germany, there are many bans and restrictions in nature reserves (NSG) and national parks (NP) - sometimes you get the impression that you need "official permission to breathe" in nature...  ::) (best applied for 3 months in advance in writing and subject to a fee)
In other countries people are invited to visit nature, here they are banned...  :'(

It is therefore very important to be able to see the national park boundaries very clearly on the map!
This is not clear enough in the LoMaps!
In large parks with detailed boundaries, it is not easy to see which side of the border you are on. This is solved very well in OSM: The border has a color gradient - dark on the outside and light on the inside. If LoMaps are based on OSM, why doesn't Assam Software use this representation for the LoMaps?
In Locus Map only "OSM Classic" shows this border representation, the "OpenHikingMap" also only shows a simple line!

I think your description of the situation in Germany with regard to restrictions in nature reserves and national parks is exaggerated and pure nonsense (sorry).

There are very few areas in Germany with strict restrictions or even bans on entering them. Sure, sometimes you have to stay on the paths and keep your dog on a lead and you're not allowed to light a fire, which I think makes perfect sense. In a densely populated country like Germany, there should be a few areas where nature is left in peace. But maybe you really want to go cross-country mountain biking, wild camping or quad biking everywhere. I just had to get that out there. 😉

I find that it's stricter in many countries, even in Europe. (Poland, Spain, Czech Republic...)

On the subject: Yes, if it's important to you, the borders could perhaps be emphasised more clearly. On the other hand, it can quickly become too conspicuous and spoil the visual impression of the map. I'm happy with the display as it is.

You can also try out other themes, some of which emphasise these areas more clearly. Or customise a theme according to your own wishes.

Lots of restrictions in the whole Ostfriesland coastal areas. Especially with dogs. Often not allowed to enter dykes (dog poo will kill sheep and dog will scare and kill sheep, dykes decay and all people die) and coastal area at all, bird related. If you're a hiker and usually walk some km you will notice you can visit the North sea only at very very very few spots. Otherwise you won't even notice it.
Ostsee is completely different, my preference since many years now.
