Problem: heading from external gps source

Hello,

As I have already managed to search on this forum, external compasses are not supported.

That is why I tried to use the "heading" field of the GPRMC frame sent from a simulated external GPS device (tested both bt & ble).
Despite selecting in locus settings the direction should be taken from the GPS regardless of the speed, locus map completely ignores my heading data (receiving the position from my device works fine).
Does locus map calculate the heading itself based on subsequent positions, ignoring the value coming in in the NMEA protocol?
Is there really no option to provide locus map running on an Android device with a good, external source of direction?

Thanks for any hints,

best regards,
Konrad J

Hello,
"heading" is defined by the orientation of your device (where your device point), so currently only the internal compass is considered. "Bearing" (where you are moving) is indeed computed from the coordinates of two locations and GPRMC values are ignored here.
