Loss of track points after export/import

Hey there, I'm using Locus for 10 years now. Thanks for the great app. This appears to be the first inconvenience I encountered in that time period.

****************************************************************

I have a track that consists of 7 track points -- see picture "original". When I download (export) that file, it shows 7 points. The gpx file is attached as well.

The issue: When I import the file again, Locus recognizes the shape, but I can't access any intermediate trackpoint anymore -- see picute "After Import". (The screenshots show the issue in the browser, but it also happens in Locus 3 and Locus 4.)

Edit: Apparently this behavior is intended (someone discovered that earlier). New question: can I modify the track before export in such a way that Locus maintains the trackpoints after import?

Hello Fluggy,

what happens to you is not exactly an issue. The original planned route consists of a few shaping points that define the shape. They are not exported into the GPX file, so after re-import, they are not restored.

What exactly are you trying to achieve by exporting/re-importing of planner route over GPX? Maybe there is a different solution if you need to persist a shaping points.

The file contains a gpx (trk) track with 7 track points.
Apparently a gpx (rte) route_routepoints is expected.
Locus web does not offer gpx (rte) route exports.
So import this simple track in the Locus map app
In Locus map app export select as gpx rte route.
After re-import Locus sees route points as via's.

Btw.
Performant handling of gpx files is as described here.

Few apps (inc Locus) offer this so performantly but anyway still simple.
I know of one, but advertising in the Locus forum is delicate isn't it ?
