mysterious purple line

I'm just trying out the app for its routing on foot. The route is displayed fine, but it comes with an odd purple line from start to end, with a bar that makes it wider. Is this a guiding line, what's it for? The line is distracting and the bar takes up a lot of the screen, how can I get rid of them?

hmm this line is only visible during editing phase. When you compute route with any online service, you should see after save only this computed route. You can anyway draw line manually and that's the purple line ...

That makes more sense. I was expecting the route to me complete when calculated, didn't realise you could edit it more.
