How to change the "mapitem" folder on Android 14 to import multiple folders

Hello everyone,

I use Locus Map on a Samsung Galaxy S24 with Android 14. For some time now, Google has blocked access to the /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/ directory. Previously, I had several subfolders in the /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/menion.android.locus/files/Locus/mapitems/ folder, e.g. "Bike", "Hike", etc. These folders each contained several hundred GPX files. When I downloaded a new GPX file for a hike via Outdooractive, I always saved it directly in the /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/menion.android.locus/files/Locus/mapitems/hiking/ folder and the GPX file was immediately available the next time I started Locus Map, as all files within the main directory are loaded automatically when the app is started.
Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to change the main directory of Locus Map (see screenshot).

I can change some other directories like "mapsvector", "maps", etc. individually, but unfortunately the folder "mapitems" is not included (see screenshot).

I can only import individual files in the map items manager and not entire folders. Is there a solution to my problem? Many thanks in advance!

Nach einem ausführlichen Beta-Test wurde gestern die neue Locus-4-Version in Google PlayStore veröffentlicht, die es erlaubt Locus auf /Android/media zu beheimaten.
Damit kannst Du mit TC, x-plore und anderen fähigen Dateimanagern noch zugreifen (wobei ich dies mit Android 14 noch nicht selbst testen konnte, aber mit Android 13, das ja weitere Restriktionen einführte selbst im Vergleich zum schon bescheuerten Android 11, was die vermeintliche "Sicherheit" betrifft).

Danke für die Info. Allerdings ist bei mir im Play-Store immer noch die Version 4.21.1 vom 24.01.2024 die aktuellste. Dann heißt es wohl warten.....

Ok, ich habe jetzt die APK-Datei gefunden mit der neusten Version und auch die Funktion zum Verschieben:

Allerdings wird der Versuch mit einer Fehlermeldung quittiert:

Damit kann wohl nur der Entwickler etwas anfangen, oder?!

Nach einem Neustart von Locus Map wurde der durch den Fehler unterbrochene Verschiebevorgang fortgesetzt und erfolgreich beendet. Jetzt ist wieder alles so wie es sein soll. Vielen Dank!
