The problem: tracks not showing (see screenshot tablet_no_tracks.jpg)

The problems occurs on a recently bought tablet.
Tablet is running Android 13
Map is Freizeitskarte Deutschland Nort
Map was installed via the Freizeitskarte site.
Theme is from LoMap (see screenshot tablet_theme.jpg)
(Maybe I did something stupid for this theme to come into effect)

This also happened some time ago on my android telephone (see screenshot phone_no_tracks.jpg).
Then it was tied in with the theme, where track were not enabled.
It was resolved by using the theme from Freizeitkarte  (see phone_tracks.jpg and theme is from Freizeitkarte fzk-outdoor-soft-v5).

I have tried to:
1 - Download the theme from Freizeitkarte. No effect, old LoMap theme stays in place.
2 - I tried to delete the theme directly. The folders containing the theme (or maps)
do not seem directly accessible, therefore I cannot delete the content directly
3 - Uninstall followed by an install doesn't seem to delete the content.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Ronald

So your question is how to import tracks? (Your database says 0/0).

My problem was that hiking trails were not being shown on the maps on my tablet.
As it turned out (and as I suspected) this was caused by a wrong theme.

The map I was using was from Freizeitkarte
The theme that was being used was not suited for my map.

I tried to load a theme from Freizeitkarte.
But this theme was not being shown as something I could choose.
The only theme that was available was the internal 'Hike and Bike' theme.

I just looked at the available themes again.
Now all the internal and external themes are being shown.

I selected the theme 'Freizeitkarte fzk-outdoor-soft-v5'
The tracks are being shown.
My problem is solved.

I also see that I made a mistake when posting my problem.
I used the term 'track'.
This was incorrect.
I should have used 'hiking trail' or ' hiking path'

But it still is weird why it took so long for the internal external themes to become available.

If you use the maps from Openandromaps, the themes will be installed as well. Just select the country, go to the + and choose Install Locus.
The maps are very good for hiking and available worldwide. Hiking trails are highlighted by difficulty. Hiking trails can be shown or hidden.

This is a coincidence.  In the last 48 hours I discovered:
1) I really like the fzk-outdoor-soft-v5 theme, because it shows useful roads at low zooms in remote areas.
2) It doesn't show highway=track, meaning I can't use it; I need to see tracks.  Actually, none of the themes in the family seem to show them.

So I edited my copy of the .xml, and pasted in a block of XML from the Outdoor theme, XML that deals with tracks.  Now it shows tracks, and I'm happy.  I was thinking I should mention it; a bug?

I'm using OAM V5, but as I recall, the tracks were also missing using the latest LoMaps.  I had turned on all the theme options.

EDIT: I spoke too soon.  My hack-fix didn't catch all types of highway=track; some are still invisible.  Back to the text-editor...
