Hi, Menion!

I have encountered two issues when trying do download a map. I'm using Locus Pro 1.9.0.
1. I selected a path and choosed the Online shared map. But during the download my device became not responsive (this happens to it at times), so I unplugged the battery and plugged it again. When I started Locus again, I found that my download is lost, also the path I selected is also lost, and the worse: the whole cache of that map (Yandex) became corrupted, so I couldn't use Yandex maps in Locus until I renamed the old cache file. Could you:
 a. add opportunity to save the path, which I select to download the map
 b. somehow protect the existing map cache during the download of the new part

2. Then I created a new path and saved it. I then tried to download a map to that path, but I found that the path I created manually and the path, Locus wanted to download map to were not the same: it was like Locus has dropped some of the points from the original path. (On the screenshot the blue line is the path I created, and the pink one — the path, Locus wanted actually to download map files to)

1) are you using original ROM or some custom? Nobody with Motorola defy reported similar problem. Hmm ... Anyway I'm sure that downloading works on background. You may try it on some small map. Leave it run for a while if map will be downloaded correctly.

2) yes this is correct. When you create route from 1000 points, it's very very CPU needed function to test all tiles if they are near to any part of this path. So I reduce this path to 10 points. You can move with then to fit path as much as possible. I was thinking about it, so I changed it to 20 points (instead of 10). This should fit path better and it will not bring a huge performance decrease.

1. I'm using a custom ROM, 2.2 based. That the phone froze — is not the Locus problem. The Locus issue are that after the shutdown and restart
a. the path I created via the "Define new path" was not saved for me, so I had to recreate it. Could you add an option to save the created path?
b. that the previous existing map cache became corrupted because of incorrectly finished download. Could you please backup the existing map cache during the download of the new parts?

2. Could you please add an option not to reduce the path? I don't mind if my phone worked all the night with that task )

but first part is weird. When you start downloading, Locus create file on card that contain your definition. So when downloading goes wrong or is interupted by you manually, you can thanks to this file, continue later! So your track should be stored. If isn't, there is another problem. Also saving database before import? You're the first one who have this problem so why should I borther all other users with some copying of actual map database when other people do not have this issue? And why aren't you downloading new map into separate file? Also why you not change rom to another more stable?

2. I'll think about it ...

When I started Locus after the phone shutdown, and went to the map download section, there wasn't any option to continue previous download (in the other cases I found that option, but in the last case — not). May be that's because of the corrupted map database?

I think that it's a good idea to have an option to make the database backup (so people, who don't want it, may turn it off). The database is a very precious thing, because one may have added there many areas, so it is hard to restore, if it is corrupted. Of course one can manually copy it before each update, but that's not very handy (because one has to delete the backup manually etc).
