Menion, you can also add vibrating alarm. Sometimes vibrations are more feelable then sounds.

dead? link leads to post from "Fri Jan 06, 2012 11:51 am" which contain version with some TAR maps fixes and also this feature.

About vibration ... I'm not using it in Locus and because I needs some more settings and also a permission (not sure about it) I'll leave it for now ... maybe later

in settings > gps > is "Enable notification" and below is "Notification settings"
