Cyanogenmod7 + Samsung Galaxy S
« on: May 24, 2011, 18:00:38 »

Přidal jsem tedy adresář emmc do seznamu adresářů externí karty takže s novou verzí by mělo stačit přesunout adresář Locusu do toho mnt/emmc a mělo by to šlapat ...

berkley> we've got this, don't worry :)

Ahoj, no pokud ten adresar external_SD smazes a spustis locus, tsk kdyz tam proste nebude, take by si mel vytvorit koren na Te interní paměti. A ohledně tohok akcelerometru.

matthias, if you're reading, do you have some issue with compass on your phone? I don't think so right? Because jetcz have and as you told, you both have same phone and same ROM

thank you matthias

so jetcz, it looks like some problem in your phone (or combination of phone and ROM). If you want, you may write to developer of smart compass if he tell you his secret. I'll not do some searching and testing of this personally, because this is not locus problem and may change in next CM release ...

This is off-topic, but hopefully, it'll help...
Jetcz, did you successfully install CM7? Will say, what do you see, when you are rebooting the phone?

There are three screens...
1. Galaxy S GT-I9000
2. Galaxy S & cyanogen(mod)
3. Cyanogen Mod boot animation

I made a little mistake while flashing and had some minor bugs on the phone. So I went all over again and got it finally to work. The point was, that I never saw the second screen...

Some further information if it still doesn't work.
- Which Mod of CM7 do you use? You'll find this information in "about phone" and see in "mod-version". Mine is called "CyanogenMod-7-05112011-NIGHTLY-GalaxyS".
- I know, stupid question... But are you sure you have the international version of the Galaxy S? You know, there are several variants...

Hi Berkley,
yes I have the correct bootloader which shows cynaogen mod.
I use nightly #13, also tryied Zach's, Glitche's and stock kernel, same behavior on all of them
And yes, I have the international version I9000.

I'm pretty sure compas was working in earliest cm builds but only thanks to samsung hakcs which are being removed one by one as time goes. (RIL stuff, etc.)
I'm not the only one with this problem , I'll try to write to smart compass developer, lets see if he's something to say :)

Hi menion,

sorry to bump this thread but it's the only result that came up with search regarding emmc..
I ran the text above through Google Translate and you say Locus looks in /mnt/emmc/Locus but that doesn't seem to be the case with me..
Both Locus Pro (latest market) and Locus Free (latest test) can't find my Vector maps which are in /mnt/emms/Locus instead Locus creates a new dir in /sdcard/external_sd
I'm running the latest CM7 nightly on my SGSII...
