I'm using Locus since years, but the OSM based maps are sadly not as good as the professional maps.
In my oppinion Alpenverein still offer the best maps of the alps. They started to offer digital maps, unfortunately only for Garmin devices.

This maps seem to be raster maps in .img format.

Direct use in Locus seems not to work. Everything messed up.

Conversion (http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:advanced:convert_img_to_sql) seems to be only for vector maps, right? MapEdit++ seems to have similar issues displaying the maps like locus

Any advice?

Hello,

I'm simply worried, there will be no simple solution for this ...
- Official help (ideas, questions, problems): help.locusmap.eu
- Advanced topics, sharing of knowledges: you're here!
- LM 4 Beta download, LM 4 Release download

Thanks anyway,

I'm still missing options for good topo maps in the alps.
let's hope they'll collaborate with companies other than garmin in the future. (hint  ;))

keep up the good work!
just bought your app again after years ago at androidpit, couldn't live without updates  :D
