I'm trying to change osm vector maps in the sdcard/locus/mapsvector folder. I delete a map, put in another then disconnect the phone from the computer. When I access this folder either from Locus, or a phone file manager, or from the computer, the changes have disappeared and the folder is as before!
What is screwed up? The sd card, Locus or my phone?(a 4 year old nüvifone a50). What is advisable, format the card and reinstall Locus?

Could well have been a MTP issue to begin with. Either the root problem was already there or my repeated attempts caused more damage as Win 7 was unable to reformat the card and I had to recreate the card's partition from my Mageia Linux setup. I'll put the card back and reboot tomorrow morning.

I've deleted my Locus pro installation and cannot reinstall to Android 2.2. Anyone have an older version *.apk lying around?

Never format sdcard in pc better use the feature in phone. Otherwise you will run in troubles in the mid-term.
If you cannot reinstall Locus try cleaning up all of the rest (in phone).

I'm convinced that the sdcard was cooked as it was impossible to update files or even format the card. I also tried to delete the partition but it re-appeared!
I've bought a new one, Kingston this time, no more Sandisk.

But on the Play store, my phone does no longer appear as a compatible device, I can re-install Locus Pro to my son's and wife's phone but not mine. I see now it has v2.1 and not 2.2, is there an old version still available somewhere?

Hmm this is weird with installation. If you use Android 2.2, there should be no problem. May you please try current 3.2.3 version of Locus from here?
