POIs are not counted correctly in folders

@menion,
If you add a new POI with a counter {c}, the counter should add one by one to it´s POI name. At the moment the counter starts every time at number of already stored POIs in the folder you use.

eg:
(see clip)
expected: "green 1." and "blue 1."
obtain; "green 4." and "blue 5."

It sounds (I fear) that is an idea (a wish)
This is a pity
:'(

Ah, ok, I understood menion wrong. A wish? In my eyes the current solution is not really usefull. But if nobody else doesn´t support me, I can leave with it.  :)

No! In my humble opinion its a bug....
So *****-stars for supporting the wish.

Menion

how this hould be a bug, when
1) in description of {c} parameter is: "insert count of points in folder + 1"
2) counter really insert current number of points in folder + 1
3) this feature works in this way probably almost two years

What I see on your video is possible in case, you store both points into SAME folder.

So I think this is really more "wish". And it's a question how to improve it ..

Ok, its a mix of bug and wish.
Experienced users expecting an increasing number _depending_ of the object (Cafe1, Cafe2, Bakery1, Bakery2, ....)
That makes more sense then Cafe1, Bakery2, Butchery3, Cafe4, ...
So my suggestion is counters should depend to the object only (independend of folders also).

I thought once more about this and now I would say it depens of what you want to do.  ???

Szenario 1. Plan a tour, you want perhaps this:
{c} POI  ==> 1. castle, 2. church, 3. hotel (for  lunch) , 4. church , 5. castle,  6 hotel (for dinner)
Conter in front of POI counts the POIs to go for next target.

Szenario 2. Mapping for OSM
POI {}  ==> castle 1, church 1, castle 2, church 2, church 3, castle 3
Counter after POI counts only for listing the POIs (for mapping).

Any wishes or ideas?  ;D

As mentioned here http://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=3704.msg27059.msg#27059 I'm thinking there are enough possibilities to sort and count points:

1) for each category of points use one extra folder

2) for similar categories use one group of folders

3) at the end you can mix all this points in one folder

The way to do this work easy is using templates in 'quick points' with declarations of group, folder, name, counter and icon you desire.

Sure - that's a solution, but... its NOT easy ;)
eg. for OSM-mapper with 40 Folder.
What ever - i think the idea7wish is clear now

edit
wait....

edit
ignore me - starting wrong version on th VM  8)

works fine now!

Menion

perfect. Number after "c" is editable!! so you may set there whatever number you want and locus starts count from this number (if this is not clear)

Great. Nice idea! Are POIs with the same name counted in folders differently?
