Problem with vector map downloading
« on: April 22, 2013, 17:24:30 »
Hi
not quite sure whether this is a real problem but it happened to me now the 2nd time:
After updating my vector maps the map file which I was actually using is corrupt.
I was using Austria and after the update there is a error message that the Austria map is not working.
In fact it is not existing.
I am absolutely sure that I was downloading and extracting the Austria map during the updating procedure.
Last time I was updating the maps I remember that it was the same problem - different locus version.

edit
Double checked:
The file name of the Austria vector map is existing but the file size is 0
Ok - Austria is small - but not that small...  ;-)

Best regards
Claus

Is your "Locus"folder on the "phone memory card" and your vectormaps on the extrnal sd?
Move "Locus" also to your SD and move all your Vectormaps to  ../Locus/mapsVector/..

I  had a empty locus folder on my internal card - from the problem some versions ago if you remember - but the real locus folder with all data and settings is on the external memory card.

I deleted now the empty folder on the internal card let's see what will happen

Best regards

Hi Claus,
next time you should immediately write me how much credit you wasted and I'll give it back. So count it all together and write me. It's a non sense to pay for something, that has 0b (in case Locus substract you a credit after download).

Anyway such problem will have nothing to do with empty directory. But I have no idea what may cause this. May you please check your card for example in windows, if there is not any problem with it? Also next time when this happen, create for me a log, or you may enable debug mode in configuration file, just for sure ...
