No own category possible within track menu

Hello,

I am new in this forum, but I used Locus Pro for a longer time. Today I have updated to version 2.6.3.
If I go to data and than to tracks there is not anymore possible to add own categories.
In pois I have the plus button to add a poi category there. But within tracks it is not anymore possibel. There are only fixed categories to choose.
Please could you make possible that I could add my own categories to the tracks.

  short answer ... it was never possible to add own categories for tracks. You can only choose from predefined categories when you edit track

Thanks for fast feedback. It's a pitty do not have this function. Than I must have used it in another Software. Sorry!

It was my failure. I was coming from Pathaway when I used PPC with MS-Software. But also in Pathaway there was not the possibility to categorize tracks. I have it done "outside" in the old PC-Software Touratech 4. From there I exported them into Pathaway.

No that make no sense for other user. For example I thought when I have some tracks of the area of
- North See or
- Baltic Sea
- Italian trip
- Norwegion trip
- etc.
than I could handle it in a better way.
I do not use the categories from Locus. I must use instead only
- Import
- record
The otherone makes no sense for my handling.
Unfortunately there is no overview for my usage.

Good point, fenster - i have the same "problem".
I can use only five of 23(?) exists categories.

So if you post this as an "idea" on https://getsatisfaction.com/locus/topics - i will vote for this too  :mrgreen:

What you saw was the request to login. You can either use a separate getsatisfaction account or a facebook, twitter, google, etc. account.
If you go for a separate getsatisfaction you need first to click on Sign up  (I think prior to adding a topic).
Would you mind to try again?

Ok. I have stored the ask into "get satisfaction".

If somebody need also such possibility to create own categories within tracks
