Raster maps Australia

I've recently started using Locus after buying a few other similar programs on Android.

But I have found Locus to be the better pick of the bunch especially once the maps tweaks addon (extra maps added but limited amounts of downloading) are added so I bought the Pro version.

Now I go offroad a fair amount and have a good source of gpx tracks. So I have been pre downloading the area where the track is using the google hybrid maps. Only drama is the 10k limit and on occasions the tracks aren't so obvious if there are lots of trees around.

Are there any good raster maps of 200k or lower for Australia that work with Locus? I have access to some rmap topo maps of 250k but they are locked and won't work with locus even though I own them and have the unlock code. I can also test some hema maps but don't think they aren't in the right format. I have the option of ozf2 or ecw, neither work with Locus from my understanding.

And from what I have tried (well followed from google searches) it is not so straight forward to convert them to be compatible with a one stop conversion program???

I don't mind large downloads and I don't mind spending some money if they are worth it 4wding and off the beaten track.

just for australia - did you tried KMZ maps in Locus shop? If no check them ...

just download them in Locus shop, and they'll appear as new items in "Items tab" in Map manager

I tried the sydney ones but they weren't very detailed with tracks and roads. well i think i did.... but i have since tried the locus shop from inside locus just now and its coming up  "error - unexpected problem! please contact......" Will look again later when the shop is working again.

Back in the old days when i was using windows mobile, i used garmin with their topo maps and they had reasonably detailed tracks, fire trails etc and this is what I am after... well i hope to find. From my undertsanding our hema maps use garmin topo data. The garmin topo maps was in their own nrg format and requires unlocking so doubt thats possible to transfer to a format that locus will accept.
