Hello anybody,

Locus is a great app, so thanks to Menion for the nice work.

I have a problem with the new versions 1.10.2.
After update to 1.10.2, the maps are displaying with a lag of time. In 1.9.x, moving maps by fingers is very fast without a delay. In 1.10.2 are delays up to 1 second by moving the maps with fingers or by zooming.

hmm it's interesting. Are you sure you don't have for example 10k point on some area out of screen and you forget on them? I was yesterday do some benchmarks due to your note in another topic (and also somewhere I read about similar problem). I improved a little few things but it should increase speed only by few percent, so not enough. Only change there in map drawing is order in which I now draw images but this sorting is pretty fast.

So is anyone who had similar issue? Also, please try next market version (probably at start of next week) and let me know if there is still this "problem".

I have the old version 1.9 as the free version installed, so I share the same map data between 1.9-free and 1.10.2-pro (do I ?). In 1.9 and using offline maps already downloaded (personal section), drawing of the maps is without a delay. Same map in 1.10.2 has significant delays up to 1 second. So I think it's the drawing function.

interesting ... may you do small test for me?

I have attached here three versions
1.9.7 - is old one, if you want after test return to working version
1.10.2.2 A - is actual version after some tunning
1.10.2.2 B - is actual version with some "disabled part"

So please test these two if have same behavior as actual version on market, thank you

I did it!

1.9.7 works fine, moving maps by fingers without delays.

the 1.10-versions still have the delays!

I have no such problems. Tried different maps, zooming, paning. Everything super fast as before. 0 delay. ( I have a Class 10 32GB card)

Hi, I have little problem with Locus. It was always very fast app and moving with map was perfectly smooth, but month or two ago map moving started to be little bit lagging. If I compare map moving speed with c:geo, c:geo moves map exactly under my finger (and Locus used to be like this too), but Locus nowadays makes only about 3-4 big steps when I move map for whole screen.
I tried to delete cache, hide all POIs, I tried online and offline maps, but result is always the same.
Is this only my problem? Can this be fixed or is it caused by some setting?
My phone: HTC Desire

Thank you in advance!

nAS: I merged your topic, because it's same problem as here. Where you have Locus installed? SD Card? and which class? Also is Locus slow only during rotation or also in normal state (without shifted center and enabled rotation)?

EDIT: try to please also save current settings (to be able to restore them later) and reset Locus to default state, if this have any influence.

EDIT2: also may someone try to log logs with something like CatLog program during move? There is also possibility that on background are some errors!

I have Locus installed on SD card (class 10). I tried to move Locus to internal memory and it had no effect. Rotation and shifter center has no influence on speed, Locus is slow even at normal state. I tried to reset settings and it had no effect too. :(
It is interesting that if I have my finger on the screen, map moving is lagging, but when I move map fast and then put my finger off the screen, the map continues with moving smooth.

hmm sounds funny :) ... ehm .. sorry. Ok, so please try the thing with CatLog. It looks like some error on background. So only when touching screen ... it definitely will be problem on background

EDIT: hhmmm, I maybe discovered one place where should be problem. So please anyone with this issue, try attached version. If this will work, then you have very buggy rom :). (CatLog request remains, just for sure if this version will not work)

Awesome, this version has speed of light again!
Ad buggy ROM: I have HTC Desire branded from T-Mobile so it is probably most shitty ROM that was ever created

don't know if it's placebo effect or not but this version seems to render vector maps faster then previous Pro on my SGSII...
