Osmland seems to support cached maps:
Menu -> Download maps -> Local,
The first thing you can see is Standard maps( vector)
Keep scrolling down and you will see: Online and cached tile maps

Of course, its cache map is actually not fully understood by me.
I still use Locus, but Osmand has some advantages that I like, for example, global ocean depth.

Here was only Locus Map that covered everything. and after 6 years I am of the opinion that there is no better in this area.
For car navigation use Google Maps, in this area is simply the better choice.
When I go hiking or .... I choose a parking place in Locus Map and then select Google Maps for navigation.

das Locus-Team antwortete mir, dass das untere Menü in der nächsten Version so aussehen wird, wie im Retourendetail. Dort ist keine Wetter-Wolke
Man plant weiter ein anpassbares Menü, aber mit nachgeordneter Priorität.

The only situation where I don´t use Locus is car navigation with simple A-B routing. There I use Magic Earth.

Tak to by veru bol dobrý nápad definovať štýl podľa atribútu.
To by malo využitie nielen geologických ale aj lesníckych mapách. Ako napríklad táto WMS mapa v offline SHP formáte:
https://gis.nlcsk.org/arcgis/services/Inspire/LesneTypy/MapServer/WMSServer?request=GetCapabilities&service=WMS
Geologická mapa je jednofarebná (tak mi to zobrazuje aj v aplikácii QGIS), ale možno by sa geologickému ústavu oplatilo vytvoriť aj viacfarebné, ak by ste pridali štýl podľa atribútu.
Pokiaľ by ste mali takúto aktualizáciu, tak potom by som kontaktoval aj lesnícku a geologickú inštitúciu, že takto majú možnosť rozšíriť svoje mapy. Možno by využili tieto možnosti.
