[CZ&SK] - diskuze o Locusu / Sťahovanie offline mapy - free...
Last post by medved256 - April 05, 2025, 08:29:05Ahoj, začal som pred nejakým časom sťahovať celé Slovensko podkladov z freemap.sk (Freemap-Outdoor) v online zozname máp Locusu. Každý deň po 10000 štvorcov, všetko v pohode. Až kým sa mi to neseklo pár dni dozadu s chybou Error 2, tile: 36260|22512|24 a neviem sa nijako cez toto pohnúť ďalej. Ani po polnoci na ďalší deň, po resete stiahnutých štvorcov, sa to nepohne ďalej a vždy to zasekne na tejto chybe. Vzhľadom na objem dát a čas sťahovania po iba 10000 na deň to nie je len tak zrušiť a začať znova pokus. Viete niekto, čo s tým ďalej alebo kde je vlastne problém ?
Chcem konkrétne tieto podklady, nie alternatívu pre detailný 3D povrch terénu. Veľkosť mapy v GB v mobile nie je problém.

iOS version / Re: Locus Map Lite 1.0 out in ...
Last post by Jan Čapek - April 04, 2025, 18:04:06Hi, yes. We know it take longer than you and even us probably anticipated. We wanted to cover missing key features before the springtime initially. But in the end we chose harder path in order for the app to be better in the long-term. In case you don't loose patience with us, I am confident to say you will be using better product in the end because of this seemingly "empty" period.
But it definitely isn't empty for us, we are still rushing towards our goals with the app in the development!
1) We spent significant time to upgrade MyLibrary as it was mandatory due to technical reasons to keep compatibility with its huge scheduled redesign on backend servers, Android and Web. And it resulted in better experience with it even on iOS, although we know that wasn't highest priority for users.. But we had to do it anyway. By the way, in the process the iOS version have its first "win" against its older Android sibling - you can now browse your library while see the data immediately on the "live" map on same screen.
2) The next big thing are offline maps. We are in the finish line with the development here. In the process we built completely new vector online/offline LoMaps and offline POI dataset which will upgrade experience even compared to their current versions available on Android. During spring we will launch them on iOS and some time later even on remaining platforms.
3) The next quest will be to deliver 1.gen planner and navigation/guidance features. We will see if we manage to release them during summer, but we will do our best.
So yeah, for this year, the app will definitely keeps its Lite postfix in the name. But we definitely didn't slowed down in the team. Of course, more users willing to support us with activating Premium, bigger change we will be able to speed up the development with additional team member.

Themes - Vector maps / BERGFEX map (or theme)

Last post by Graf Geo - April 04, 2025, 14:17:40Thanks for checking. The problem is still present in beta 4.26.3.3. It only happens when the location you are looking for appears as a LoPoint icon on the map (which is not always the case) and remains as a LoPoint icon when you swipe down the info on the point (this doesn't always happen either).
I have also just noticed that the icon is displayed larger than usual in this case.
Then simply select "clear map screen" and move the map. Voilá.

I've removed your private post on the help desk, so we should have this info public.
As my colleague Radim is intensively testing Android Auto on the motorcycle and is also using a hardware controller, I'm pushed from more directions. So yes, I plan to support hardware controllers in this way. Currently, I'm still stuck on publishing Android Auto support itself on Google Play, so this feature will have to wait for now.
The best is to add ideas to our help desk with "android auto" tags, like these: https://help.locusmap.eu/search/tag%3Aandroid+auto . It also allows more users to push on me with specific requests, which is always welcome
(and usually necessary).

If possible, try it with a version I'll prepare today. There are some changes how internally bottom point panel is handled, so maybe it is already fixed as a side-effect, thanks!

Alles schon passiert. Ich bekomme die BRouter Profile auch in Locus angezeigt. Wenn ich das Profil auswähle, speichert die Auswahl nicht. Bei den internen Profilen klappt es problemlos.
