Locus Map / Re: [APP] - version 4.30.+ ( 6...

Actually it's not masterclass to make an app featurerich but simple in appearance and use.
Though you will easily find bad design or control solutions.
Look at the android-dark-material-design, where active controls or tabs in browser are with that darkgrey that it is pita to reliably distinguish from black. Assuming there might have been a LOT of meetings and finetunings to bring that android-design to life.

Well, that red sign next to position is the worst decision of 2025.
Everything else is said.

I guess Locus will never be for beginners. E.g. look at the simple satellite radar screen with GPS off and you're immediately out of the game, 'no visible sattelites'. Don't get in panic and touch the screen..
I'm fine and understand the logic :)

Hello Jan,
when I restarded / unpaused the initial track nothing was visibile, even the track, so I couldn't tell if something was recorded, there was no colored line as well .
So I stopped the recording and began a new one but as shown in the screenshot, it kept stopping as well.
My question on the green and red dot was just becouse they appeard only on the second track but have never seen then in the past, was that due to a particular recording mode?

Btw, today I recoded a cycling track and all went prefect as usual ;)

So when you restarted track recording, the app records portion of the activity but then stop completely? Could you please share that activity via link? We will discuss this with responsible developer once he will be available.

Green dot indicates start of the track, while red one is finish.

However please note, that BETA versions can be sometimes unstable.  Also latest BETA is already older than public version available via App Store.

Hello Petr and thank you for your support.
I confirm that the settings are exactely as shown on your screenshot for the related activity type (Hiking) I created and are as follow:
-Interval 5 mt
-Interval time 2 sec
-Recording condition: Distance OR Time
-Precision : No limit (300 mt)

Just Cycling has a different interval of 10 mt between recorded points.

Das kleine Schloss rechts und ganz unten. Neben das Plus Zeichen. Nach tippen komt ein Menu.

Hi, thanks again for your report. I'll try to replicate your issue. Could you please check your recording settings in the meantime? There are options to store location samples during track recording in the recording profile. Make sure the required location accuracy is set to maximum so all location samples can be stored. Also, ensure that the time and distance intervals between stored location samples are configured correctly.

  - fix: (SILVER) incorrect offset for top dashboard

Regarding the Dashboard.
@Menion: Any chance to implement this: https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/37768-more-dashboard-variables-for-next-via-point

I think/hope this is minor - but would make life on a biketour a lot more convinient.

lG uk - doing some intensive testing for the next 3 weeks on bike vacation.
But this is the wrong place. Please submit suggestions for improvement to the help desk. It's probably a minor issue. But 100 people have a minor issue. And in this case, only one person wants it. That's why we need the help desk and to gather votes.

Navigation & Guidance / support for new pseudo-tags
Last post by zossebart - August 13, 2025, 07:58:19
Hi,

are there plans to sync the LoRouter implementation with the latest version of brouter?
Especially the new pseudo tags are of interest to me (short description here: https://brouter.de/essbee/myInfoEn.pdf, docs for the tags here: https://github.com/abrensch/brouter/blob/master/docs/developers/environmental_considerations_and_pseudo_tags.md). Also, brouter seems to have a roundtrip feature now, maybe this could also be interesting for you (Asamm)?

I hesitate to update my profiles for using the pseudo tags because I mainly use them in Locus.

If I understand it correctly, the pseudo tags are calculated using database features of postgresql but I have no idea what this means for processing time in routefile creation.
