Actually I love the small Track-popup screen in Locus Pro because it shows me both the distance from the start and the distance to the end of the track. For me that's usufull information when hiking, often I don't need more!
In the new large Track-popup screen I can't find this valuable information, am I overlooking something?

I used dark mode in the past but came back to light.
The only reason why I don't use dark mode is the map redraw.
When zoom in or out the not drawn parts of the map gets black and switches back to light when the map part was drawn
The result is a disturbing black-light switching when dealing with the map.

Would be nice if you can fix this.
I tried dark mode but also found the large black blocks disturbing.
I don't think it has anything to do with the map theme, I am using Freizeitkarte and the map-background color is defined light-grey in the theme xml file:

<rendertheme xmlns="http://mapsforge.org/renderTheme" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://mapsforge.org/renderTheme ../renderTheme-v5.xsd" version="5" map-background="#e6e6e6" map-background-outside="#dddddd">

@Mapper
I believe I've found a reason for this small problem. Try the next version and let me know, thanks.

@Menion
Thanks, it works again, the GPS icon changes green again after regaining a GPS fix.  :)
Hope to see it in the next LM pro also.

One more question about the pro (later to be called 'classic') version: how long do you think the classic version will get v3 updates, will that be a year or even longer? I really like v3 and are in great doubt about upgrading to silver...

@Menion: could you reproduce my problem with the GPS symbol not turning green again after turning off/on the screen (and the GPS)?

It's very convenient to see quickly by the green color there is a GPS fix.
LM pro and LM 4 free both have this problem.

Today I installed LM v4 free and went for a long walk.
First impression is very good althoug I still love my LM Pro.
While comparing both versions I discovered a little problem with the GPS symbol in both apps:

I am used to turn off the screen (and the GPS also) while hiking and every now and then turn it on to check where I am. Normally, after turning on the screen again the GPS symbol turns green again after a few seconds and I've set a short beep to let me know there is a satellite fix. Today this didn't happen, the GPS symbol stayed orange althoug I got a beep and the cursor is correctly showing my position and walking direction.

I am using LM Pro v3.51.1 and LM v4.0 free on a Samsung A8 (2018) with Android 9.

My assumption that Locus 3.46.2 doesn't shut off anymore was incorrect.
It does shut off correctly but the initializing screen is not shown anymore if I disable all my gpx tracks to be drawn on the map screen. Until this version I always saw the initializing screen, regardless if there are any tracks or POI to be loaded and drawn on the screen, this has changed now.
Since the initializing screen tells me it loads a lot of different items I thought it sould always be there but it isn't anymore.
@menion: did you change something regarding this initializing screen?

I also have the impression that Locus 3.46.2 doesn't shut off anymore. I don't see the loading screen anymore and the map screen is drawn almost instantaneously. Only after deleting temporary files, which enforces a restart, the loading screen is present.
