[CZ&SK] - diskuze o Locusu / Re: LocusMapWeb
April 29, 2021, 15:18:35

-- možnost zobrazit více tras nad mapou (i napříč záložkami)
-- editace trasy
-- práce s uživ. body
-- import trasy

Držte nám tedy palce, ať se nám podaří je na web co nejdříve v následujících měsících dostat.

Díky za vlídná slova! Věříme, že webové rozhraní Locus Map bude brzy stejná pecka jako samotná mobilní aplikace.  :)

If I start to record an activity from the Locus Map module of my watch only (and Locus Map app not launched on the smartphone),  is it a normal behaviour to see this recording stopped when the smartphone shut down (for example if it has no more power...) ?
If there is recording activity using Garmin GPS and watch looses connection with smartphone (for example when battery dies), application will show huge red alert but continue to record on background. When leaving the app (alert), the app will provide selection whether you want to save or discart such recording.

This is of course not ideal, I hope to implement this better so the app will remain usable even when phone is not accessible, but right now, there are other priorities to take care off.

Hi @hom,
unfortunately phone maps feature in Garmin addon is currently broken. We hope to find some solution soon. For more detail or possible workaround on your side please see:

Web portal & sync / Re: Web planner / portal

Hi guys,

thanks a lot for your feedbacks and ideas. As you probably already spotted, we finally officially released LM4 for wide public. We can say we have LM4 app in the state which we wanted for its first release, but truth is that this is not really case for Web planner. We are aware of many missing features/updates which we wanted to include to first release, but time was against us.  On another hand we for sure believe it is already far better than nothing.  ;)

That being said, we have huge list of priorities which we want to handle and which should solve lots of your complains or implements your mentioned feedbacks. Because of that, we decided to leave BETA sign on its header for some time.

In the long-term, we have quite a lot of ambitions with our web portal so be sure we will keep rushing to make it better, its public release is just the beginning for us! Don't hesitate to keep your reports and feedbacks coming please - this of course help us to check we have our priorities right or help us to update our plans (here or even better to: https://help.locusmap.eu/topics/all/status/all/category/30/sort/new_updated/page/1). Also please don't forget that web portal is set of various big and "independent" feature sets, so if you find something strange for example on online LoMaps - like Trump playing golf ;D - better report it to its particular topic (https://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=7191.0).

Regarding some topics which were already mentioned:
1) Not recalculate route when you change main routing profile is intentional to allow you to quickly change it during route planning while keeping previously routed part of the track intact. We will for sure try to find some solution to make it more obvious and option to recalculate whole route if wanted.
2) Ability to easily update routing profile of individual route segment will come soon.
3) Behaviour of routing points on left panel will be tweaked to not loose route statistics from the sight all the time when you put more routing-points.
4) Graphs will of course be not only for planned routes but also on other tabs and will contain a lot more data.
5) Another big topic for us is already mentioned ability to show multiple content from various tabs on the map to allow you for example plan route while having your previous tracks or even somebody else's track on map. Definitely lots of plans there.

So wish us luck to bring it all soon.  :)

Hi, the app should connect to same sensors you use for selected activity type when recording activity by Locus Map for Garmin. I would suggest to make sure, you are opening the app and turning on the activity when you already have your HR sensor active. It should for sure work.

Hi Dominic,

our app can't import route to internal storage of Fenix 3, thus the message you are getting. Activating Premium version do not affect this at all. Are you sure you didn't confuse it with navigation features controlled by phone? You can just turn on navigation on your phone and be navigated with your Fenix.

Compatibility table is correct.

Quote from: basecore on June 02, 2020, 07:31:04But unfortunately on my Garmin Vivoactive 4 the location in the map view is not changing when my android smartphone lost its signal ...
Hmm, that is strange. Unfortunately you have quite unique setup, so not sure if I will be able to find out why it does not work properly for you.  :-\

Again  Locus Pro closed, Garmin app closed, but Garmin sync notification still present.
Info about closing and opening apps (+ course import) goes via Garmin messaging solution which is unfortunately highly unreliable. It might help to restart phone or watch to get it working again. Or you can of couse always shutdown Locus Map for Garmin service by clicking to STOP button on notification.

Hi, I would include cadence when enabling data screen customisations, thanks for your feedback.  App is not open-source.

Quote from: sbouju on January 17, 2020, 21:27:46Is there a plan for making the Garmin watch able to launch/pause/stop the track recording in the smartphone Locus Map app, in replacement (or complement) of the track recording in the watch itself (already available)...?
Yes! This is actually quite high on our priority list!

Quote from: lor74cas on January 18, 2020, 13:17:53I do not like the start and stop feature on the watch because there is always the case that an unwanted button press stops the recording track. But the lap/point mark should be usefull.
Hi, doesn't your model support buttons lock feature? Start/stop feature is implemented to behave similar as native activity apps.
Create waypoint feature is also in consideration.

Hi, that is the limitation of Garmin Connect IQ platform. The map will never be as fast as on Android Wear.
